It is quite common actually tbh. Lewis Baker and Reece Mitchell and a few of the other youth team players are seen training with the first team. Hopefully he is a decent prospect but I doubt he will be a regular starter here in 2 years, he needs a reality check tbh. Long way to go till that.

To be honest, he's showing a lot of ambition and that's a good thing.

Plus Tomas Kalas, Lucas Piazon, Nathaniel Chalobah, then we have some quality youth to look forward. Can't wait personally for Kalas to be called upon, he is such a talent!

Belgian media are reporting he is training with the first team these days!

The 16 year old midfielder normally plays with the U18 and sometimes even with the U21.

In preseason, Musonda already had a few trainings with the first team. But a U18 player that trains with the first squad in the middle of the season apparently is unseen!

This only shows once more what a true gem we have in our hands! Hopefully in the near future he will give us many great moments!

ps: Charly himself stated he wants to be a regular starter at the first team in 2 years. Looks like he's well on schedule

He normally plays for the U16, he has rarely featured for the U18 and U21.

Not really, all of them are good prospects but wouldn't say they are the best.

I saw him play for the Belgian u17. He is amazing.... I can't wait to see how good he turns out to be. Scouts were telling me he is like a mixture of Xavi/Iniesta. sounds good

That's not to bad, if he get's playing time. Good team that always play top in Belgium, and every year with some games in Europe, next year they play in CL group stage if they win the championship.

Goddamned... what happened in the belgian gene pool the last years ... somthing fishy in the water perhaps, because we generate so much talent. hope it all comes to Chelsea though :-)

Before lets say 2008, in 30 years, we had scifo, pfaff, vercauteren, preud'homme,.. and perhaps 5-10 others playing at high level(kinda the 1970-1980 generation).

Now we have like 10-20, in potential, (very) good / worldclass footballers running around in the PL / Europe and another 5-10ish in belgian U17?
