Unacceptable managing. Saving your 1 offensive roll of the dice to 70 minutes after we were already down 2 screams cowardice. Sturridge, in his short time on, put Hazard through on goal.....and probably could have done more with more time. Not good enough from Robbie there.

Lessons learned:

1) Start with full concentration

2) we do have some younger experienced guys, this was a good game to put behind them

3) changing team unsettled something and injury didn't help to lamps.

4) they have some amazing brazilians and a great team and work ethic, hard to beat.

Could have been worse 5 or 6 from them if not for Cech...

So much for the "must get AT LEAST 4 points against Shakhtar"! Take nothing away from Shakhtar tonight. They were excellent. We were poor. Only bright side is Juventus drew and we lost 2-1. The return fixture against Shakhtar is an absolute MUST win now. A 1-0 win would be enough to send us top of the group. Anything else and it will be a disaster especially when we have go to Juventus on Matchday 5. And hopefully, this will serve as a wake up call for the team ahead of the match against United after the recent run of form.

There's no doubting Shakhtar's performance, I knew yesterday we'd lose hence my post (actually, that was on another forum) worrying about the game. Poor performances have to be pointed out however, regardless of that is - either the players or the referee. A red card should have been given and fouls were being awarded for nothing the most notable ones being the 3v1 situation and the last minute of the game. If we're to beat Shakhtar at home then we'll be level on points with them, Juve will probably be one behind us with a home win against Nord. Shak will then beat Nord away from home, leaving Chelsea and Juventus to battle out for the runners-up if the last game of the group, a draw being needed for Chelsea. Last season anyone? Chelsea v. Valencia.
