Yeboii 1,844
Sorry if there is already a post like this. Then just delete this one but....I would be interested to hear about how Chelsea stands in your country as in how popular it is and the general view etc etc
Ollie 4,400
We're quite popular here.
Spike 12,049
The Premier League teams seem to be fairly split here. Liverpool would probably be the most popular out of the Premier League. However I've seen more Internazionale, AC Milan and Juvnetus shirts than I care to count. Whenever I'm in the city I always see one of those shirts. chelsea_4_eva 1,182
oh god.. it is so bad here.. first it was Manchester United shirts everywhere, then when barcelona started winning stuff Barcelona shirts everywhere, and most recently City shirts everywhere. to sum it all up most of the people here are glory hunters and don't know sh*t about football and the team they support. (sorry for the rant it's built up frustration)oops i almost forgot, as for chelsea not as popular as united and barca, but probably as popular as liverpool are here. the positive thing is not so many glory hunters support chelsea. Zakhar 13
Manchester United and Liverpool i think are the most popular in my country. There are more Chelsea fans now after CL win,but i haven`t met a lot of Chelsea fans of my age(22) or older.I started to support Chelsea since 2005.......generally as most foreign Chelsea supporters everyone here started to support Chelsea after Abramovich came!!!!I haven`t met anyone who supports Chelsea more than 10 years! There are less Arsenal and Tottenham fans. Beepu 1,714
In New Zealand, Chelsea is not so popular Most are arsenal, liverpool and utd fans, with of course some barca fans who i find very annoying at times.
manpe 10,861
United is definitely the most popular here. Even people who are wannabe fans and don't know anything about them, "support" them. It's difficult to tell where Chelsea fare because I don't go on local football forums and a proper football culture is absent here.

Strike 7,491
the big clubs are heavily covered here in India and thus there has been an exponential increase in the number of Chelsea fans here. that and the general realisation that cricket is such a boring sport

Strike 7,491
Blasphemy!well it is. the shortest game you can have takes over 3 hours. plus the overdose of cricket in this country has led to increased popularity for football. petr.breu 1,618
Chelsea have a lot of fans here in the Czech Republic, in the media is this club the most famous, because of Petr Čech, our best footballer. But in the football forums and websites, everybody hates us... Crap about missing history, about our money and so on... It's getting boring sometimes...So if I may choose between popular and unpopular, I will choose unpopular...
Rmpr 8,977
European teams are very popular in Brazil, I mean, really popular! When ESPN first came to Brazil (1997) it tried to buy the rights for Brazileirao, but it always got outbided by Globo (open channel). Early 2000s they decided to go for international sports (NFL, NBA, EPL, SERIE A, LA LIGA) and it got extremely popular...You can often see European Jerseys in the streets, big matches always trend on Twitter and for the past years UCL Final was shown on open channels. I have some friends that prefer abroad football as well.It is not bullshit when Oscar says he dreams of playing for Chelsea. A lot of youngsters have European Clubs as their final desirable destination!TOP CLUBS:1- Barcelona2- RM3- Milan4- Man Utd5- Chelsea6- Arsenal7- Inter / JuveLa Liga giants are on top by a fair margin, but Milan, Man Utd and Chelsea are equally splitted. I would put Barca and Real with 4-5 million fans and EPL and Serie A with 2-3 million. It is pretty high actually, but it can grow. Top Brazilian clubs have 20-30 million fans...Of course Brazilians have their home teams as 1st suport but they follow very closely their European 2nd team.Chelseal has an official fan base in Brazil. You can buy membership, tickets (that is how I bought my Munich ticket) and official Chelsea material from them. They also organize trips to London, bar encounters to see games, etc.It is one of few official fan clubs outside Europe!
loonymcgreat 19
I'm from Slovenia. The most supported club here is definately Barcelona. Then there would probably be Manchester and Arsenal. And then comes Chelsea, RM, Milan. But funny thing is that there are official supporters clubs for every big team and the biggest and the best organised is Juventus Of course we are hated here, but nothing more than Barca or United tbh.
