I know its always bad to set targets and expectations.

However with all this investment in our squad, I feel we can push on in the league and it should be No.1 priority.

What do you guys think is realistic and why?

FA CUP : WIN

COMMUNITY SHIELD : 2nd PLACE

CAPITAL ONE CUP : QUARTERS

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE : SEMI FINAL

PREMIER LEAGUE : 2ND PLACE

We should have enough in the tank to challenge for all these trophies, and maybe could bag another one of them.

Check this Analysis out..... very good Analytical blog this is :

I think we will get a better judgment when all our players are back, and we are playing in Full season games... It is hard to mark predictions off of pre season. Though my expectations, would be comfortably top 4, close to united in second... Anything better than that and i will be extremely happy. Fa cup final, Carling cup semi (or whatever its called now), Champions league semi vs madrid, and probably lose the community shield in extra time...

But we will know more after City and first few games of the season, and how we play when it matters...

club world cup , super cup - should win it.

carling cup - should go to semis or even win it because our squad strength is one of the best. our 2nd team would probably look something like this

turnbull

cesar cahill iva bert

romeu essien

moses meireles marin

sturridge

and it definitely should be good enough.

EPL - 3rd or 4th. just the champions league spot.

Champions League - quarter finals or if we are lucky then semis.

FA cup - hopefully win it too.

no expectations from me.

optimistic we can win 3 or 4 trophies. but anything is possible. people have said we can`t come from 6th to Champions again in one year. we were under par by our standard by a long way last year.we spent large parts of the season not playing our best team,we have brought in players to improve the talent level in the team since then, with more seeming to come before the window is closed. we got as good a chance as anyone of winning the title in my opinion. we`ll just have to see how it pans out. i don`t see why anyone would think we don`t have a chance.

Top three Premier League.

Champions League semi-finals.

Win either the FA Cup or Carling Cup.

Win two from three out of the Community Shield, UEFA Supercup and FIFA World Club Cup.

At least 20 goals for Fernando Torres. Minimum of 10 by January. If not - sell him, and sign another forward.

Personally i think 3rd in the league, FA Cup quarters, UCL quarters, League Cup winners, Super Cup winners, Club World Cup winners and runners up in the community shield on Sunday. My expectations domestically aren't as high as they could be as our new players lack a bit of matureness and premiership experience. We've signed players that will go on to be world class but they aren't world class yet. I feel as though the next 2-3 years will be years or genuine rebuilding and transition and trophies may not come so easily. I do however, feel that in 3 or 4 years time, we'll be a huge force and one of the best teams in the world, if not thee, thee best. The players need time tho. I reckon a nice league cup win can start things off domestically and help the players settle and gain confidence.

To be honest, if we only won the Club world cup and came 4th, i'd be a pretty happy man. Not expecting much..... YET!

Club World Cup

Super Cup

Finish top 4

We're still rebuilding, it'll be a while till we become a powerhouse again. Just don't fall out of top 4 again, that's all.

Agree with this, we need top four, but i don't expect us to be able to get to our best this season with our new players.

I think our league season will go a bit like United's in 2005/2006, slow start, average middle, strong end, leaving us in a strong position to push on and challenge for the title in 2013/2014.

As far as the cup's go we will always be in with a shout of that one while our rivals keep underplaying the competition, suits me i'd happily pick that cup up every year. If were incredibly lucky maybe retain the CL but i personally think that one is heading to The Bernabeu. But the WCC should be a priority, we don't get a chance to call ourself's World Champions every season.
