Referee Bias in Chelsea Games

Haha, how could you even say that? Football is a game of 90 minutes. I agree, we were totally shit in the first half but what about thre rest of the game? Dayum mate, we were all over them, If we had a plenty and a city sent off, we would of been celebrating and noone would of even posted bout the first half.

Let suppose we had same shit second half, still that doesn't mean if we had the penalty and won, we didn't deserved that, Sorry but I don't understand how could anyone say we didn't deserve to win? Did someone say that when we won the UCL? Nooo, NOONE.

FOY fucking robbed us.PERIOD

We weren't all over them. We were awful until one counter attack in the 66th minute when Ba scored. Until then we were trying to hit them on the counter attack and just lumping it over the top to Ba and it only worked when he scored that 1 goal.

If we did have another shit half like the first one we wouldn't have been in a position to get a penalty because most of the time the ball was somewhere around our own penalty area.

Its easy to say we didn't deserve to win because we were not the better team. We were the better team for 25 minutes of the second half granted but City were better for longer- 65 minutes to be precise. Like I have said, they should have had the game wrapped up by half time and would have had it not been for Kompany's poor finishing, the final ball being poor and great saves from Ivanovic and Cech.

Statistically we were worse than them too:

Possession: 44% 56%

Shots: 9 11

On target: 4 7

I disagree.

What we need is the players we have now to stand up and become the new leaders. We have players capable of having a presence; guys like Ivanovic, Ramires and Cech are all capable of being those fearful players.

I support Rafa's decision to leave out Terry & Lampard, in the long-term it's beneficial for the new leaders for this team to emerge.

True, but usually those kinds of players I mentioned are not only fearful, but leaders too. Nowadays I believe we've got Terry, Ivanovic and at times Luiz. There is a difference in what Mikel, Torres and Ramires do and the ones I've mentioned. Cech is a goalie, his presence is not that important, he can't affect some situations from the box (if you ever played football you'd know this).

New leaders are needed, this is something I definitely agree on and with it will the whole team man up.

If it had been JT or any of ours with a two footed lunge on the back of a player it would be on National News and a permanent SKy loop and a definite ban, retrofuckingspective or not, regardless of whether the referee had seen it

Doesn't matter if we only played well in the last 20 minutes, a penalty is a fucking penalty. If we had that and a possible Kompany sent off, no one would of remembered the last 70 minutes.

You still can't claim Chris Foy robbed us. Look at his position on the pitch when Komany had that chunk of his shirt. The fact is, we shouldn't be saying that one decision cost us the game, when that decision had to come all the way in injury time. We should've created chances long before that, and we didn't do it.

I don't care if we were not all over them, or Kompany bottled that golden chance, or the ball milner or yaya played were awfully horrible. They had there chances mayne and they blowed them like Beliebers blow their parents hard-earn money on Bieber's concerts lol. It's a 90 minutes match, did you see that Malaga vs Dortmund game? Malaga had it in their hands but then call it undeseverdly or anything but Dortmund snatched it. Noone remembers what happens in a game, they only remember the winners.

and it was a clear penalty and we would of won it after that mayne. #wegotscrewed.

Statistics? Save them for the Mikel's thread mayne XD

Mayne, he almost undressed our ladyboy, where the fuck was Foy at that time? His poor positioning robbed us :P

Before some thinking that the question of poor refereeing isn't an issue and "the decisions balance themselves out over the season", don't just think about yesterday, Foy's a poor referee, always has been, always will - the issue is that we do not get a balance of decisions, it's just worse than ever this season.

I've seen every minute of every league game, as well as most cup games and I'd absolutely say we get as little as they (the refs) can get get away with. They know our hierarchy won't question them openly and with the stance taken regarding Clattenburg this has made an already bad scenario worse. I've never seen a home team get so few 50/50 decisions, I've never seen a team fouled so often and often badly not have one opposition player even near being sent off. This is a real issue and until we get someone clever enough to adopt an aggressive but disguised stance against them it'll keep on going. The refs are like schoolyard bullies who'll keep on putting it to us until someone gives them a metaphorical smack on the nose.

A test is for people to think generally about refereeing of us in Europe and how since Ovrebo how things have been that bit fairer - we took a stance and made it damn difficult for them to keep on shafting us.

Couldn't agree more!

I've been barking about this situation since Jose left & why one of the many reasons why I want him back. Firstly I don't think we would of played that bad for 60 odd minutes & I would have no doubt Zabeleta would of been on at least a yellow in the first half (Foy let him get away with 2 in the first half yet Rami was booked for an innocuous challenge?) also Foy would of given us one of those poor decisions, lastly you know that Jose would of given Foy a right going over in the media & would of been beating Foy's door down after the game. It's part of why Utd keep winning as Fergie has mastered the art.

Think it proves it when their was a media witch-hunt for Hazard who ironically was sent off by Foy (surprise, surprise!) to be given a lengthy ban for kicking a ball, yet Aggrorearo gets away scot free - no bias there then?! I mean ffs how can you state you've seen part of it? I've never heard such bullshit, he didn't see part of Torres shirt being pulled off his back & I suppose he only saw part of Hazards boot kicking the ball from the ball boy but that was enough - you just can't make this up. No doubt about it things are going against us since 'Clattengate', only getting someone like Jose back that has the bollocks to take on Fergie & the FA & to give the refs a few 'stealths' will we redress the balance.

Argh well, let's play 7 minutes & let Liverpool score from a player that should not be on the pitch (Sturridge could of gone too) 7 fucking minutes????????????

Just keep ignoring this, the lot of you? Most of you don't take any notice or fucking take anything in anyway............

Mark my words, you should all hope Jose returns next season because if he doesn't then we will continue to get these appalling decisions, yeah call me a bitter twat - I couldn't give a fuck but until we get a manager in to fire a rocket up these useless officials arse then we will never regain the title.

It's the only reason I want Mourinho back. He sees a conspiracy in everything and would back the boys to the fucking hilt. Sick and tired of referees having their way with us.

I suppose its each to their own regarding a Jose return but you hit the nail on the head on how he would be backing the players, think our managers have become far too soft after games & let referees off the hook, bacon face has the edge on every team because refs are shit scared of him but Jose always has his number when it comes to psychology - at least it will be a level playing field for us again if he does return, you can bet your bottom dollar the first time there is a controversial moment & we drop points he will be on these officials like a rash in the interview afterwards. Ferguson gets in the refs mind before a game too, we've had it for several seasons now with him barking about them not getting this or that against us (purpose selective memory!) Jose will fire it back so the official won't get swayed by fergie's rubbish.

Obviously to mount a title challenge we have to improve in a few areas but Jose chipping away at officials will help no end & perhaps we may finally get some consistency in our game.

Even though Fergie can be a twat he does sometimes talk sense about refs...that and takes the attention from the result when its poor

There is no constiency these days...one mans yellow is anothers red!Having extra blokes in European games is hit and miss as well! They all miss imporant moments

Decisons shouldnt have to balance out...espically for teams who are fighting the drop or something and can be costly...like to us this season some of the weridness we've had will no doubt cost

Well André did try to do it, but he couldn't get the gist of that line between standing up for our players & just going a bit.. over the top
