Referee Bias in Chelsea Games

Well the complaints aren't very convincing. I mean he couldn't even see Aguero's challenge on Luiz and the Torres one.. Well put it this way, it's something all defenders do, including Chelsea ones, and they're rarely given.

That doesn't negate from the mistake and its reprecussions.

Especially when you consider this is the same guy who went back, conferred with the officials and spent time when sending Hazard off for kicking a ball boy, the decision adds salt to the wounds

I think its impossible to not have a bias, since everyone has an opinion. Refs supports their team as well.

But we dont know how hard it is to see incidents when we are on the field, sure its easy when we see the whole picture from afar. What goes on in their mind before they make/not make a decision when there are thousands of people yelling in the stands.

Yeah theyre supposed to be professionals, not take sides, not cave into the pressure of the atmosphere and judge the game as it is in the rule book.

Foy is incompetent for sure, hes sucky. But he is human.

I think we're just looking for excuses in the wrong places and blaming these 2 oversights allows people to have someone else to blame instead of looking at the team.

You can't really compare it with the ball boy incident, I mean Luiz didn't even make a deal out of it because he didn't know what happened. No other players saw it properly, only the TV cameras did.

This thread is unnecessary.

Oh yes the thread is wholly unnecessary but my point is that was the referee's mistakes can't be taken away from. That Aguero tackle was HORRIFIC and the referee, regardless of what other's think or see, made a mistake. It's frustrating now because the result won't change even if punishments are handed out, so I couldn't really care less about that.

I can't blame Foy for that one. In real time, nobody saw how bad it was. It actually looked unintentional. It was only after watching the replays that you could see it for what it really was. The Torres non-call was much worse because it was obvious even in real time.

I don't get it, how was he supposed to see Kompany's shirt pull? Kompany was very smartly doing it from the front and the ref was naturally behind. As for the Aguero challenge, only the line man could see that and he just didn't have the guts to call it. In both cases I think Foy is blameless. We're just looking for excuses..

Oh well, linesman messed up our game so we'll just say "nah, it's fine, the team sucks either way"? Each decision counts in a big semi-final. The decisions affected us only during the game... many clear fouls were ignored by Foy so I don't think he's blameless at all.

No action to be taken against Aguero -because Foy saw part of the incident.

Fucking stupid. So if a ref saw one foot of a player graze a players head on the ground and awarded a free kick, but didnt see the follow up deliberate boot to the head that fractured a players skull -no retrospective action would be taken.

The FA at its best as usual

We need some players like Drogba and Ballack. Those were the guys who everyone, inclunding the refs, feared. We're too good sometimes, much like Arsenal in the past few years. Its ok to be nice like Mata, but you also have to show some balls. Afterall, football is no ballet, its a contact sport. This is one of the reasons for the treatment we had from refs this season.
