The Big Drog 1,110
You have to give credit to Ramires who was an excellent foil beside him last night but it was breathtaking to watch Oscar play last night. Everything he did just oozed class and quality. He defended capably, he floated breezed forwards, he floated about the pitch, it was a show of ability rarely seen in English football, this was the type of stuff normally reserved for Barcelona or the great Brazilian teams of the past, no the opposition wasn't was strong as it could have been but this was a young lad coming off the bench after an exhausting game only 3 days ago and playing out of position and it was nothing short of a masterclass. However I don't believe he should be played in the double pivot. Mikel and Ramires both serve important purposes and I quite like the partnership they have formed, in any case Brazil's starting number 10 has been in stunning form since breaking into the team, no point in changing something that works. Jase 43,479
best moment of the game, Oscar getting in Nani's face i bet Nani was stunned about thatIt's a warning for everyone else if they think Oscar can be bullied easily because of this slight frame and innocent face! RamiCFC9 258
That's why I like Brazillians so much, always that boss attitude no matter how old they are and how big is the gap between his last club and now, the guy pretty much doesn't give a fuck. Stingray 9,441
To mention something hopefully not to controversial.I love Oscar, I really do. But it is quite remarkable how he tends to NOT pass at Hazard even though it ois clearly the best choice, self evident, the only option ... I just see him turning away with the ball frequently and it really caught my eye. Did anyone else see this the last couple of games? Hope its not an ego issue or anything, cause I see Hazard passing it to him all the time... Again, no issue with Oscar but just wondering! Blu4Lyf 46
I 100% noticed this. You can see Mata and Hazard really connecting, running over to the other 1 with the ball start a string of passes between each other to take the game over. Oscar as the #10 without Mata... hasn't been good enough for me. Stingray
Magic Lamps 11,692
Give him time he is still young. This off-game against Swans cost us but that is the price you pay for playing youngsters. He was great against ManU and will build upon that. Strangely despite having a wicked shooting technique he is one of the most wasteful players in the league. Strangely despite having a wicked shooting technique he is one of the most wasteful players in the league.I know Magic but that doesn't address my question. Is he ignoring Hazard, because 1) I've seen it for a couple of games now and 2) I heard a couple of people independent of each other saying the same. This is/could be bad on a team level. Hazard and Mata have been like twins passing wise, but Oscar really seems to have an issue with Hazard at times. I just wonder if that is an issue at the moment. God, I hope not ... Let's not have those star allure issues with 21 year old boys at our team ... especially since the three of them create something more then the sum of them individually.
