As for the sprinters, It's so amazing how so slim guys as the Japanese guy, gemili or lemaitre can be that explosive and control their body so well at that pace. I only started sprinting at 16 and first got fast after i got bigger. As a twice u18 chapion in 35 and 50m respectively in my federal state. Even though very explosive I never got to the 100m as I not only lacked endurance but my running was technically and motorically so clumsy. Would really like to talk to those of how they train as its so hard for lanky white guys to get to the 10s.

Even if its great for him to be able to compete with non-disabled people, disabled people run to other rules than non-disabled ones. Teh race of pistorius is tactically and technically an other oen than the others run. The rule is temporary, exactly for the time, technology needs to make prosthesis provide an advantage. As soon as a "blade runner" threatens the world record, the rule will be changed again. Rules should not be temporary decisions, therefore IMO the rule change was wrong.

What if he becomes more than able bodied ? His calves don't get tired but do his thighs get more tired, what happens when technology makes him faster. It's very noble when he's not winning but it won't be if he ever wins - having said that I think some able bodied people compete in paralympic sports such as basketball so I believe there should be a difference between the Olympics and Paralympics

Anyone notice the girls that run have a lot of make up and their nails and shit are done? American in the 400m final had like sparkly stars on your face. Whats this, a bloody beauti contest? Not gonna complain though, they're quite good looking, not usually into the black ladies.

They get relevant once every 4 years, you try your best to present yourself as marketable as you can. They are really just living off sponsorships.

Good to see Christine Ohu... Orug Wait, Google help me please! Ah Christine Ohuruogu win silver in the 400. She was like 5th coming into the last 100 metres and wasn't really expected to do much after having a quite bad year.

But the best part was the Hockey lmao 3-0 down to none other than the Aussies, came back to draw 3-3. Epicness!

Thats the whole point. I'm disabled so would qualify for the Paralympics but I'm not good enough at anything. Tim Howard has Tourettes which is not a disability. My daughter has Tourettes and its been as much a blessing as anything else. Some able bodied and able minded people compete in wheelchair basketball. In the paralympics, what if your disability or supposed disability doesn't impact on your sport and others disabilites does - (what if you have nothing to overcome) how is that fair
