i sincerely hope Hazard shines and the guy doesn't doubt his decision to play for the blue shirt....because all those who fans don't talk too much about have shined in blue shirt : Marin, Ramires, Luiz, DD, ..goes on...

We don't talk too much on Ramires and Luiz?

The amount of abuse and criticisms Ramires got when he first came was unbelievable but the rest as they say is history...

As for Luiz, people already went crazy over him since he joined. Instant fan favorite. Every day, every week, there will be something to talk about regarding Luiz, be it good or bad.

That is what I'm worrying at the moment. Harsh but RDM looks like a one trick pony. No changes whatsoever to the formation.

Then again, think he said he wanted to perfect the 4-2-3-1...

We can't perfect the 4-3-2-1 when 2 of our main starters have not even played a game yet (Mata and Torres)

And also, someone said it before, but what exactly are our tactics? we hardly press, just sit back, play 100 passes at the back and invite pressure.

He is italian after all.

Our best team right no is Mikel, Lampard; Mata, Ramires, Oscar; Torres.

I personally don't think Ramires should be starting out wide, if it's not a big game.

This is where a change of formation will be good, so he can play in midfield in a 4-3-3 sometimes.

but lets admit ... he wasn't touted as much as Torres... fans weren't particularly keen on luiz signing for the club (or atleast that was my observation)

RDM has to bring the best out of each and everyone.... he needs to talk to hazard ... till now haven't seen that fire in him

Trying to figure out as well. We have hardly dominated any of the pre-season games so far. It's a bit like cat-and-mouse chase at the moment with us. 'You attack, we defend'. 'We attack, you defend'.

Maybe at first but after that, it was just insane...

Regarding Hazard, yes, it looks like he isnt bothered right now but it's also a bit hard for him when players around don't offer much movement and passing option to him. All too static and expect a 21 y/o to conjure something out of nothing everytime.

Not sure about that. He was 32m, but Oscar was 25m.

Torres was 50m and RDM asked him to sit on the bench.

Hopefully RDM has the balls to select who plays based on performance not price tag. So far I'm impressed by Hazard's ability but dislike his "can't be arsed" attitude in friendlies.

Exactly, i really thought we would see some changes this preseason, but doesn't look like there will be any.

We have played in a 4-6 at times this preseason when Lukaku has come off.

Two key things from this game:

1. Amount of space we left in between the midfield and defence. Too often in the game the two players in the double pivot looked to press and get forward and in turn, left so much behind them to be exposed, which MLS did. One ball and a player got into that space and we found ourselves in trouble many times. Made a couple of silly fouls because of this. When that happened, the midfielders just jogged back and hardly looked bother to actually try closing down & winning the ball back!

2. Spaces behind the FBs(again!). Basically the same as the first point above. Their first goal came because of this when the ball played was behind Ivanovic after he got a bit forward and was so slow to recover! This happened a lot in the PSG game too.

A bit worrying that RDM doesn't seem to be fixing the problem.

The amount of space between the Center backs and the Defensive midfielders was appalling. How many times do you see Xavi or Xabi Alonso check to the defenders to retrieve the ball, i have yet to see any of our defensive midfielders work at such a task.

Lukaku on the field- Playing with 10 men. He defiantly needs to go out on Loan and get experience. The amount of times we gave the ball away was a joke, MLS all stars for christ sake. It is a friendly and it is pre-season but the vast amount of quality compared to them and us is just absurd.

New squad, new additions, new philosophy. Will take time, hopefully sorts out before the season starts.

Only somewhat depressing thing about this loss is repeatedly hearing the commentator say that United beat this AllStar team 5-0 last year in preseason. :(

Yeah seems depressing!! But they should be reminded that united didnt win anything last season LOL!!

I agree, we're not defending properly. Is still early days though.
