Also did Man utd, after smashing MLS All stars, go on to win any trophies last season?I know it's only pre-season but think many have been using that too much of an excuse. No reasons for some of the dreadful passing, defending, touches, movement etc. Apart from being excited to see the new signings, have we really seen any sign of progression, the so called attacking football Roman wanted, link up play between the new players. Preseason means NOTHINGWow I did not know that. And I was making a general observation, not clamoring for Essien to get an assured starting role. End of discussion.If we were in form, with our best team and with players who have had time to gel together we'd win by at least 5 goals.OH FFS!I obviously don't mean that! We can't connect more than 3 passes in a row, and can't play the ball in behind defenders.I know it's just preseason but i expected better performances, results obviously do not matter.Also doesn't help that we've had Lukaku starting all 3 games, even when he hasn't been very good.On a positive note - we were more solid in this game (1st half mostly), better spells of possession, and they didn't have as many opportunities as Seattle and PSG did. Piazon, Chalobah, etc. aren't ready, and we already knew that.About the only thing we've learned from today is that fitness and motivation are more important than reputation. Also...kinda disappointed that Hazard didn't have more of an 'impact sub' type on influence.
