It makes sense, but its also wors to see whos not good enough, and you have to agree that we need a right back, a CF and that Lukaku and Bruyne are not ready yet.

Yes, I agree. Lukaku and Bruyne are both appently going out on loan this year, we've been linked with that Spanish Rb (cant type his name out too long) and we've also been linked with cavani and hulk, so we are definitely trying to get another Rb and striker.

Don't worry mate, we will make more signings this summer

Lukaku: really, really, really bad. Must go on loan.

De Bruyne: This guy must go on loan to another PL club, he was afraind in a friendly match, could have scored or given an assist, instead the ball went to the middle of the field.

RDM: I dont know whats in his mind. He must build a new team, and these games were supposed to help in that process, instead he is starting games with Benayoun and Paulo Ferreira, Hazard our most expensive player had only 30 minutes of football, in the second half he changes 11 players...

We need:

-CF: because we only have Torres and....lukaku.

- LB: we do need one.

lukaku was actually good today and most of the people who saw the match would agree. the point of playin ferreira and yossi is to see if they can have any value addition over the course of the whole season(which is looking less and less unlikely). we dont need another cf as sturridge too is their.

no i'm just pointing out the irony in highlighting a basic grammar mistake by someone who was just talking about intelligence

Irony? Do you know that you should start a sentence with a capital letter? Have you heard of a full stop?

Coming to slightly more serious matters, Essien had been looking real sharp this pre-season.

Essien has been great. Who was crap last season. While some of our best players from last season have looked bad. Preseason means NOTHING

Agreed he was pretty good today. Is he (slowly getting) back to his best?!

When he charged forward to foul Beckham, it reminded me of the old Bison. He's may not be at his best, but he still stabilizes that midfield and brings the ball out from defense quickly.

I would hate for us to dick about with Hazard. He's only 20, he won't be consistently Godlike for years.

Not annoyed that he isn't/ wont be God like, its the, He's amazing, best signing ever then/He is so shit... I think he will be one of our best players this season... Not the best as he is still young, but a very important role. An average 20 mins doesn't change that opinion...

Also seems there is an influx of newbee trollers arriving... Yes MLS is better than the prem now... Hilarious,

Our chances of landing Cavani were helped as his missus got mugged in Naples, If he signs I'd like to thank whoever did it, she will not want to go back there!

Posts are hilarious guys. keep em coming. But seriously though, I'm surprised at how negative this forum gets at times, you guys are worse than Tiger Mom's honestly.

I was definitely expecting a more well rounded performance compared to the one against PSG. It seems that the team needs more time to gel, we can't seem to click in the final third.

Chalobah has really impressed so far in pre-season but that 3rd goal could have been prevented had he been more alert. But he's still young, and personally I think he and Piazon look more capable of making the bench rather than our other more expensive young startlets.

Terry, Lampard and the old guard are still alive and kicking. Hopefully,RDM can inject that determination into these new breed of players as the season commences.

All in all, it was a good fitness session for everyone, but I really hope RDM kicks them up a bit to really get them going into the next pre season game against Milan

Have to be honest, I just hope that against AC we don't defend as badly and play a strongish first XI. enough with the 9 different players each line up. We don't want to see any of this chopping and changing shite halfway through the season like with AVB, we all know what happened last time.

Ye that was me who mugged her. I thought it would help our chances of signing him and I also wanted an iPhone....win win :)

I have to agree with both sides here. As it's pre season the players aren't going to be busting their balls to play the best football they can, it's a lot about fitness. Also, when you play with a handful of reserves you're not going hard for the win. The other part of pre season though is assessing players and their performances, and also trying to gel the team and practice the style of play the team hope to carry forward.

So whilst I'm happy to acknowledge it's just pre season, it would be nice to see some sort of sign of what's to come. Honestly, I don't know what that is.

Just as a wee note, we have nothing going on down the right hand side of the pitch.

Forget them.

Hazard won't be some kind of awesome talent in the future. He'll be quite good but more like a Clarence Seedorf () than a Messi.
