Hmm, still have to agree with Spike. Essien was stronger and possessed more stamina but still I think if you look at the way Ronaldo uses his athleticism to his advantage its quite incredible. You seen that TV program where he gets tested? Like when hes shooting, the fact his legs are so powerful and muscly, it helps a lot with the power he can get behind his shot. Also his jump say for when he wants to win a header is incredible and that's also due to him having extremely powerful legs.

It is NOT always about stats. Iniesta played a key role in Spain winning the Euro. He played a key role in Barcelona. If it wasnt for Messi's shit penalty kick Barcelona would have won the Champions League. No wonder Messi didnt get it. If it wasnt for Ronaldo's missed penalty kick, Real Madrid would have been in finals.

Messi and Ronaldo cost their respective clubs a place in the finals. No matter how many goals they score against shit teams in spanish league, they cost their team when it mattered the most.

No doubt, but the gap isnt too big. Iniesta can be viewed as a better player last season. Euros count as a big part (not saying it is fair, just pointing it out) and Ronaldo did not even took the pen. Most of La Liga matches does not count, imo. Barca x Real they were both good but CR7 was better.
