It was awesome to watch Marin, Hazard combining really well. :D

should they start fixtures?!?

i would bet any amount i own that barring injury, hazard will start vs Wigan. Marin was amazing and surpasses my expectations as he was sort of under the raydar, but Hazard's everything was a joy to watch, literally i can't wait. Marin has given himself a great chance, his biggest problem is that 2 of th 3 spots he could play are taken (mata and hazard), i would give him a go, but it depends who else we bring in...

Few short notes from the match (the way I saw things)

- Lukaku is new Drogba, boy just needs a proper chance. We don't need Cavani or anyone else. The boy should stay as an alternative to Torres.

- Hazard will prove himself as a great buy

- Marin is quick as lightning, has a good tehnique too, but is a bit selfish

- McEachran is ready to be included in the first team. Chalobah too

- All we need is right winger. Lucas, perhaps, as 90% of our actions are coming from the left. We're too predictable

- Luiz is developing into top world defender

- We ain't gonna win shit this season, but there is a exciting future ahead of us

I agree we don't need cavani, Hazard was AMAZING, Joshy player well (without the obvious exception), i don't think chalobah should be in the first team, as he needs game time, and he probably won't get much this season. And the reason most of our play came from the left is because we had benayoun who is beyond useless, you put mata into that 3 then we would have been more balanced, luiz has definately came along way from the guy who would just dive in at the ball, and you are right we are not not going to win anything (double negative) we are gonna win something this year, (have some faith) hopefully prem, but we will see... :)

It wasn't the goals that were impressive, it was the movement, especially of hazard as well as his first touch, and strength, for a smaller guy.

Tbh, people can try and put a negative spin on that game, but the fact is, in just one game, we've outscored both Manchester clubs in pre-season and they've been against clubs no one has ever heard of (Manchester City even lost to one of them.)

Seattle W. are no pushovers. They're currently going through their normal season so had all the hunger to win - our players didn't even take the game that seriously yet still won.

We've scored more than Tottenham + Arsenal combined also - and that's us playing without the likes of Terry, Torres, an actual left-back, Cech, etc.

I think it was a good game. I'm glad it's given Marin + Hazard the chance to try and understand eachother's game.

To me his body build, movement, burst of acceleration, balance and touch look almost identical to a certain Aguero, Eden probably has better techniques and is a better passer.

yes i agree he is very much in the same mould of Aguero and Messi, he is stocky like Aguero and has the ability to ride tackles with his great balance like Messi.

Positives from the new guys and some of our young lads! :getin: :blue scalf:

Hazard - Very good in dribbling and balance. Will be an exciting season for CFC having such a wonderful player.

Marin - Very pacey and good in dribbling though he looks like he wants to impress RDM but little bit selfish in some moment but very good overall performance

KDB - Bit unlucky but i see him a good fit for deep-lying playmaker rather than a wide player.

Josh - With his 2 assists is great and his error will do him so well that he will be more careful next time.

Hutch - Solid at the back... maybe a 4th string CB for him

Todd Kane - Very impressive IMO. he will be good for the future if not given oppty this season

Piazon - He showed some good movement, maybe if he could play at his regular wide roll will do some more good.

Overall it was good 1st game performance for the young lads!

I can see him evolving to that position as well. I'm a Genk-fan (his previous club). He played out wide most of the time with Genk because there's wasn't a real alternative on the left side and he came into the squad in that position.

Last season he ended the season in the central midfield role and really started to excel. Played like a deep-lying playmaker but also was decisive on the other end of the pitch. Journalists described him as being a level or 3 higher than the rest of players in the Belgian league at that moment. His passing and vision in that position is really good.

Good to see Lukaku scoring. As a striker that's his only job. Torres played lots of good games last season, but didn't score. Lukaku might play shite for 90 minutes, but if he scores two he still outperformed Torres.

It was interesting match!!!Hazard was very good as Lukaku!!!good work from De Bruyne,Piazon and McEachran!!!Dissapointing for Kakuta.Marin wanted to score so much so he was too selfish sometimes. But you can`t say anything for sure from first pre seasson match.

Kevin DB usually needs a bit of time to get his level up, Long passes and shots is one of his specialties normally,

Check some of these goals out:

Exciting times for Chelsea, especially if you're Belgian as well. :)

Edit: seems I've got to get up in an hour and a half. Better just do all nighter then.

He's alot better than i thought! And i always thought of him as a more Xavi-like midfielder with the long balls. But the guy has skill and he can SHOOT!

I guess he was just unlucky last night :blue scalf:
