BlueLion. 21,491
Avram Grant has ruled Petr Cech out of action for the next seven days. The manager issued an update on the ankle injury, suffered by the Chelsea keeper in training on the eve of the Champions League match versus Olympiacos. 'He's getting better but it will take about one week more,' Grant said. He reported no other injury problems ahead of the Barnsley FA Cup tie with one more training session to be completed. From the official website. Because of this, it appears Carlo will play against Barnsley and Derby, we shalln't miss Petr too much.
Elliott 7
We'll be fine with Carlo in goal!
DavidEU 2,023
I'd guess Carlo will play up at Sunderland too, so that we dont risk Petr. Would be great to see Carlo reach 100 clean sheets for the club. I think he's on around 88 after Wednesday.
PaulHopkins 1
That's not too bad at all - I doubt Cech would have played against Barnsley anyway and I doubt we need him for Sunderland or Derby.
TrueChelseaBlue 105
Carlo Cudicini is an outstanding goalkeeper, there is no doubt. OK Petr Cech is the best in the world, but Carlo will show what he can do, just like he has before, he'll wanna Try and keep Petr out the side (Can't see it happening but you know) 7 days isn't bad.. lets just hope ther isn't a hitch.. and he'll be ok for the gooners clash \o/
BlueLion. 21,491
Because of Cech's reputation, he just walks back into the team, which is a shame for Carlo, but its wonderful having a second-choice keeper that is better than 90% of the rest of the goalkeepers in the Premier League. TrueChelseaBlue 105
Definatly, Carlo before Cech imo opinion, was the best keeper in the premiership. and yes it is a shame... but Cech is in a class of his own
Laylabelle 9,539
He made a class save on Weds, though prob took more notice cause it was really the only one. Wooo on Cech but we're in safe hands so no worries
TrueChelseaBlue 105
no worries at all, Carlo's been loyal to Chelsea, and he's getting playing time, for the misfortune of Cech..but..imo he should get more time in games, i kno cechs the best, but we need too pay attention to them players who have been loyal to the club and give them more playing time hope Carlo gets a coaching job when he hangs up his boots Edited March 7, 2008 by TrueChelseaBlue
BlueLion. 21,491
Carlo had a stinker last night. As much as I love the player, he just isn't up to the standard.
