The Skipper 20,609
Heading play (winning challenges and offensive heading play), direct play on him. But on the other hand it's true that he offers similar abilities, what we can expect from a striker habile with the ball: he shoots a lot, he dribbles and gets fouled quite often. And he can create chances for his team mates as well, he'll end up his runs at the right place in the box...Sturridge is clearly a striker that has to be searched through space thanks to his explosivity and his incredible speed on short/long distances ; Rondon would be a striker suited for crosses and aerial ballsWhich is exactly my point. With the side we're building, crossing will be less frequent, so the need for someone aerial automatically reduces. As Sturridge is pretty good with his feet as well, Sturridge is far more suitable IMO.

We need several offensive solutions and different offensive approaches on a whole seasonI think we need one more striker and I'd go for a fox in the box able to play one touches relays in the box, be at the right place to end the actions. A kind of Mario Gomez discount

A kind of Mario Gomez discountMy comment wasn't necessarily aimed at yours. I agree though that we could do with a specialist in the box. Sturridge and Torres aren't bad at poaching themselves but then again, it requires exquisite service into the final third. Gomez scores loads because he's always in the right place at the right time but he's also blessed with the fact that he has the likes of Ribery, Robben, Schweinsteiger and Kroos in his team who can all deliver that final pass. We're starting to get players who have the technique and consistency in finding their last man when they need to in Hazard and Oscar (plus Mata of course), but we'll see how their relationships develop over the course of the season. Rondon isn't the player we should go for as there are many better alternatives IMO.
Severinb 309
http://m.skysports.com/article/football//7959205Would be a decent 3rd choice striker if lukaku leaves on loan!
Rahul Haque 57
for 10 million? seriously, this deal should be done and dusted. his wage bill will be considerably lower then most strikers. a good enough third choice striker that gives us depth and space for rotation. Rahul Haque 57
he's not first team material, but he is good enough for a third choice striker and has the potential to be a premiership hit, he is aerially very strong.
