Eden Hazard

Buh, Zidane didn't score 20 goals per season and he's considered one of the best and most defining players ever. He got an awful shit-ass France into the WC final in 2006 and got them two titles before that.

Now, because we have Ronaldo and Messi in their prime, with the two best teams in the world playing for them, we see these two getting insane stats that have changed the level we rate players on. This doesn't mean you can't become a legend without being top scorer every season. Hazard just needs to keep playing his game and be important to the team.

You're right about Zidane. But you need to be able to carry your team (at the highest level), win titles and more importantly, you need big moments in your career to achieve legendary status. Hazard doesn't have any of that. He's young of course but being that kind of player is not a given for ever the most talented players.

EDIT: That said, him reaching that kind of status is not important. He's a great player, just enjoy watching him play.

Thought he was scary good on Saturday, his driving runs and sheer quality on and off the ball was sublime.

Was really suprised by his off the ball movement. We all know he's excellent at beating players but now he was combining that with some great off the ball movement.

I mean normally he just comes towards the ball but now there were multiple times where he was making off the ball runs, trying to get in behind the Swansea defence.

He also seemed a lot more eager to shoot at goal.

Been looking at that Hazard vs Swansea video and he could have easily gotten 2 goals (maybe even 3) if he had taken his shots a bit better and had a little bit more luck with them.

Rumours he will sign extension till 2019 for 250k per week

If Rooney is on 300k, 250 for Hazard, our most talented player is chump change - especially considering his age and the fact that he still has room for growth as a player.

Good news if he signs an extension, but not sure about the money.

ummmm what? if he sees out this new contract he'll be 28-29 years old. We will effectively be paying a potential Ballon D'or winner 250k/wk for his best years, that's good value!

If he does well, he will be getting an increase. There's no doubt about that!
