Tbf I doubt he’d be too bothered, he’d probably understand in all fairness. He’d still be a vice captain anyways. Making Hazard captain hints even more at Cahill leaving too. Don’t think Cahill would be worried anyway, similarly to Azpi but Rugani in and then this rumour? If it’s only a rumour fair enough but if not ok, maybe he’s away.

I would think so and he's close friend with Hazard anyway. But it might hurt from a professional pride point of view? It is a chance to captain one of the biggest sides in the world and it is suddenly taken away from him just because we want to persuade Hazard to stay. Doesn't exactly seems fair.

Cause he reckons in his mind he was jumping into JTs boots. Been trying to rack my brain remembering the game when he came on late as a sub, went over to Dave and accepted the armband off him. Only a few minutes to go which was very telling I thought. It doesn't take a armband to be a captain and get respect from players.

He might have the guts but I dont see the respect. Theres been times where hes made the wrong pass and the likes of Luiz and Cescy have shouted at him waving arms about.

I wonder how he would get on at Manure?

True which is why I don’t think we will actually offer him it in all fairness. Who knows. It would be a good move if it got him to stay but also possibly have conflicting issues.

Looking at the way we've played in preseason LCM would probably be the best fit for Hazard imo.

The wide players seem to be told to hug the touchline at all times while the CM's are the ones that move into the halfspaces.

It would give Hazard a lot of freedom to move around in the central areas and maximize his influence. He could drop deep, push higher, make a run in behind or even swap positions with our wide players at times.

Defensively it would need a bit of tweaking to make sure we don't get exposed but it's doable especially with Kante next to him.

Yeah, I was also thinking that LCM/LAM might be an option. Playing at LW feels too similar to the role he had under Mourinho when he had to track back constantly and had less influence in our play through the middle. Won't get the best out of him.

Ive already asked this with no response but why dont we move Eden to RW. Ir would leave Oddy where he is, lets him play, solves the RW problem.

Because he would be less effective in that role...You and I know that Eden is not devastating around crowded area of the pitch... He enjoys area of the pitch where his devastating dribbling skills and ability to create space for others and goal scoring chances...But for the sake of Callum I would like to see Sarri try him on the right...

I want CHO to go the Mbappe route and learn to play on the right wing while he's still very young and learning. It would be a master stroke if it works out.
