Well if he stays beyond this season I cant see him moving. Real will sign a stopgap and Mbappe or neymar next year. Then there will be no place for him there

Neymar.  If I were PSG, Mbappe's face would be on everything for the next 10 years.

He wont even be 30 in 10 years. Crazy how young and good he is.

Yup, and he's from Paris.  PSG couldn't ask for anything better.  Neymar is going to be second banana soon (from a marketing perspective).  Unless Mbappe flops, which looks less likely every time he steps on the pitch.

So guess he's staying then ?

The only person Madrid will pay 200mil for is Neymar/Mbappe. They score more goals and are more commercial than Hazard. But Hazard will really shine in Lopetegui's system so im suspecting that Hazard wont extend his contract with us so that he'll have one year left in 2019, then we'll be forced to let him go for less just like Courtois.

Hardly matters if Real still don't come calling for him in 2019 or even 2020, which would eventually "force" him into signing the new contract. Like you alluded to, Real are more likely to go after Neymar or Mbappe because they score more goals and provide more benefits from a commercial point of view. Plus, Perez recently said he wants to get young players who will become a superstar in the future and someone like Mbappe definitely falls into the category as opposed to Hazard who is already 27 years old.

Its true. I forgot that madrid have been buying younger players recently. Madrid may not be willing to shell out big cash for Hazard by next year when he'll be 28. Hazard made a mistake declaring his love for only Madrid in my opinion. He could have easily gotten a transfer to Barcelona, his style of play is perfect for a team like them (and Sarrismo :cig:)

Would be great if he does stay but at the same time, it would be like a marriage made in convenience. Not saying his commitment level would drop but him staying because he couldn't get his dream move to Real feels somewhat wrong and like he's forced to settle for second best, after spending years eyeing a move to there. It's like having a girlfriend/boyfriend who's forced to remain with you because she/he couldn't find a better partner.

Hardly the same thing, said girlfriend/boyfriend could decide to be single, it makes no financial sense for footballers to pull a move like that. There's been many players in the past that would have died for the shirt but we would have happily thrown under a bus for an upgrade (Cahill), we can't moan when it happens in reverse!!!

Also Hazard played for months with a hip injury, i doubt his commitment would wane even if we are his second best.

I would keep hazard even if he still wants to move out. A poor form Hazard is better than a lot of players. We cant get any better player than him honestly.

I've not read any quotes or interviews from ZZ about the situation have you? Would love to hear his thought on why Perez seems to now have gone back on the whole reason he supposedly left RM/ so just waiting to hear what hes got to say.

I think on one hand its a shame we didn't sell him. Perfect time with a new system, manager, getting some new young faces that can grow, gell and be together for a few years.

But that would have been easier a few weeks ago so we could shop around for a LW Rob Green.

Hes going to be £50mill next summer.

Come on. Edens the bollox WHEN hes on form we all know that but when the pouting, chin dragging, hands on hips Eden comes out its pointless him being on the pitch.

I'd have sold him if we had more transfer time. But then if we had sold all of our deadwood we wouldn't need to

How is it not the same or similar for that matter? He has been talking about wanting to go to Madrid for years and if/when that move does't happen, he'll like stay and "forced" to settle for second best. Would be great for us and all but it just wouldn't feel fight. It would be a blot in the copybook.

Because most people would rather be single than with someone they don't love.

If Hazard staying doesn't feel right for us, would Cahill feel the same about being here? knowing fans would happily upgrade on him. If Hazard does the business on the pitch he could be a secret Spurs fan for all i care, players being "one of our own" is nothing more than a nice bonus, especially in the modern day.
