Popular Post! Stingray 9,441 Posted May 12, 2016 Popular Post! Share Posted May 12, 2016 I can see people are getting way too excited after a few solid games, but to me it's hard to forget how much he flopped during 3/4 of the season. His improved form only convinced me that he deserves a chance to prove that this season is a one off/shocker and I'd like us to keep him in the team. Because I'd lie if I say there wasn't a time when I thought swapping him for Bale (for example) isn't the worst idea ever. I hate the idea he flopped/or was a traitor. Every report - even Guus himSelf multiple times said it was injury. Being pushed, having injections, .... A child could see it, but no, everyone assumes it is a motivational thing, or he wanted to diss Mou. [emoji23]. Even the belgian specialist Lieven De Maeschalck (he is no loser - one of the best!) said clearly Hazard played a season with a hip injury. So.... Get educated. You really don't have to go fanboy on me. Nursing an injury might explain why he underperformed to a certain extent, but it doesn't change what we saw for most of the season. Eden still needs to prove he is the same player, who won the Premier League Player of the Season and used to terrorize defenses all around Europe. bababoom 4,478
He looks so much faster and quicker to the ball, full of desire and hunger it seems,  a different player to the one a few months ago. A cynic will say it's because of a certain tournament in France next month, but tbh i actually believe Hazard when he says for the past season he's been playing with an injury, Jose demanded so much from him, so it doesn't surprise me.  I hope he shines for Belgium in the summer and plays at this level consistently for us next season under Conte, he at least owes us that.  kellzfresh, Styles and Fernando

Fulham Broadway 17,729
If youre a Chelsea fan then his long dip in form is very frustrating, and his antics against Leicester were of a complete wanker. If your just a Hazard fan, it doesn't matter so much, and youre probably excited by his return to form just before the Euros. To give Hazard slack, hes constantly battered by opposition, and was injured. Also Drogba had at least 3 sets of 6 months when he was not on top form. Zola had one shit season along with Dixon. Osgood took a while to get over injury and change his game . Bottom line we need to be keeping Hazard without question. Courtois isn't worth the hassle when there are keepers just as good out there imho. Â Roquila

Blue Armour 4,718
Last nights performance was more than just him showcasing his return to form... He put in a lot of hard work, tracking back several times to win the ball and setup the attack from deep.

Matters little if he doesn't want to stay and/or unsettles the dressing room. Team over individuals is the most basic rule to build a successful side over the long term. There's no proof that he does unsettle the dressing room, however, should that be the case, the manager would do well to kick him out of the club personally. What was he supposed to do exactly? Hobble about on one leg for the remained of the game? This is truly bizarre. And I totally agree on Courtois btw. I've always had the feeling that Courtois thinks he's doing us a favour by being here. If Real or PSG want to pay crazy money I'd buy his plane ticket. I don't hate the bloke, he's always come across as likeable in interviews on telly etc. but I'd feel hypocritical for not criticising him for things I feel he deserves to be criticised for. The consensus with fans I associate with was that he, and others were downing tools because of Mourinho at Leicester-so we'll have to disagree on that one. I can forgive anyone bad form but I refuse to sit back and accept lack of effort and that's what I've seen from him most of this season, along with quotes courting other clubs. He's going to the Euro's on form and any team with the money could bid. Two from Spain if no bans, both Manchester clubs, PSG and maybe Arsenal At Sunderland Hazard was one of two players to bother clapping the away fans. He is our best player, and the club need to hang on to him. Courtois hopefully can get himself together, and become the rock at the back ala Cech  - its one position you don't want to be scrabbling around for, we've seen how our competitors have struggled in that area

Fulham Broadway 17,729
His talent has never been in doubt, we all saw last season what a special player he can be. The reality is it makes no difference what any fans say whether a player stays or goes. Get Conte here, and off we go again
