I reckon the next few months (before, during and after the Euros) will define this guys career. He needs to take a proper look at himself and realize he's been wank!! For an entire yearr.. He needs to get in the gym and work on his fitness. He's not overweight.. He's just not as sharp as he was last season. Sure dropping a few kgs would help but he needs to find a way to stop getting reoccurring niggly injuries, that hurts a player's sharpness. Eden's sharpness and acceleration is so vital to his game, losing that would make him half the player he is. Also, he needs to realize THIS is his time..

We're all doom and gloom on here because we think every player should develop like Lionel Andres Messi. 38 goals at 21. 47 at 22. 53 at 23. And 4 Ballon d'ors before he reaches what is normally considered the "peak" of a player's career. Generally between 26-29 (give or take). We're even MORE butthurt cuz his main contender (kindaa), Neymar.. Is a year younger and SURELYYY if Ney is playing performing, Eden should too. 

Hazard is still 25. Next season NEEDS to be him "transition" season. Where he develops immensely as a player. Both in his mentality and physically. He should reach his physical peak in the coming years. Leo Messi was never a ridiculously built guy, but when Enrique (a fitness freak) came to the club, he kicked Messi up the arse and got him into shape. Even Bale went from skinny teen to a ripped beast in the last few seasons. Eden needs this. Nothing drastic but a little bit of a transformation to improve his overall game. Hopefully Conte can help do this. 

The one thing I've been skeptical about Eden's overall game.. Technique wise is how he strikes the ball. He seems to have become progressively worse since he joined the club. I won't get into detail because I think we've all noticed. You can't just go from scoring screamers in 12/13 to not being able to get the ball off the floor in 15/16. Somethings wrong and it's fucked because he has two good feet. This is the one area of his game -technique wise- that needs to improve immenselyy. 

The talent he possesses is ridiculous and he's still relatively young. But another year of nothingness and this.. idk, nonchalantness (you know what I mean) where it seems like he doesn't care if he's the worst player in the league or the best in the league, that might just shape the rest of his career. He needs to bounce back!

Obviously I'd love it to be at Chelsea, but he's an amazing talent and I would be happy to see him flourish elsewhere if it came down to it.

It's pointless to speculate what happened. It's definitely not a coincidence that all players suffered a big loss in performance levels (Willian being the only exception). Something caused it, it's not possible for us to know what, but for me the most likely explanation is a combination of things: short pre-season resulting bad fitness; season starting on a negative (Evagate); consecutive bad results snowballing and affecting confidence; possibly some of them disagreeing with Jose's methods.

I think these are the most likely explanations for their fall from grace. Hazard and Matic don't seem to have the mental strength to recover, while the likes of Fabregas and Costa have it and have recovered. These four were our most important players last season along with JT, so it's no surprise we were relegation fodder at one point. With ~half of them having recovered, we're now 10th - seems about right. We would still have needed Hazard, Matic, JT, Ivanovic and Oscar to reach their true levels, but I'm afraid it hasn't happened, so we are where we deserve to be.

What we do know is that there has been a consistent injury (the hip). I do believe this is it. A guy like eden with a hip problem that affects mobility and speed? I hurt my hip and I have gone from (very low) national footie to pub level - now at 39 i can't even ride a bike because of the lack of motion.

Im older, a guy like Eden in his mid 20' with proper medical care should bounce right back. Im glad nobody plays him now (nt and CFC).

Lets get him up for next season, bring it on - he would be rearing to go after such a while.

Just get him a good preseason - mmm the NT- and we will see.

Let's just hope the Euros won't come for him at a bad time. We've seen players rush their comebacks to get ready for such tournaments at the sake of their long-term fitness.

Of course he will. He's still one of their most talented players, in any normal case him going away with the international team would be good for him, but in a time of injury..

Listen I get why people are mad at Hazard for not performing this season, it's justified. But to suggest the talent isn't there and that he's already finished is a fallacy, one we shouldn't entertain.

No one is denying his talent but there is something called FORM which should not be overlooked. 

Carrasco is a special talent too, as is KDb and both of them are right now at the top of their form. Kdb has comeback from his injury looking like a man-possessed.

Mertens is a good bench player and thorgan currently looks like another real talent. Why would a sane minded manager waste such talents on the bench/reserves so that an year long out of form, 2 goals scored "talent" can be handed starts. Hazard starting ahead of such players would be similar to rooney coming back from injury and getting starts ahead of Vardy/Kane. I would not just be pissed, I would probably want Hodgson's resignation at that moment.
