It comes with having a lot of money and going for the best you can get, the same thing happens to City, Real, PSG and the other clubs that are well known to spend whatever it takes. At least the club is actually buying quality and wasting money on average English players with inflated prices or ending up with the third or fourth choice for the right wing because we didn't want to pay more than 25 mil.

The irony of it all being that Hazard and Hulk are the players that Villas-Boas needed so badly.

That's true, and somehow that makes me angry. I am happy with the things that happend after he got sacked, but I do still think that he deserved something better.. and with these players, his tactics would be awesome if just the other players gave him a chance. But as most of you said before, his tactics didn't work out with the squad he had, so why didn't he just wait?

Attacking football. Both CBs and partly full backs, Cdm (Mikel) to play defense, Lamps central role, Wingers, Mata and striker to play fast attack. Not too much attacking, ala Barca but more like what Real is doing. Counters. Same style we played under Ancelotti!

And that is still possible even if we buy Hulk aswell. Bertrand did a good job as winger in the finals. Ramires can play as DM with Mikel etc.

I doubt Bertrand plays any midfield this season. He played one game as defensive cover in an extreme defensive formation. It's just not his position. Also, we really need Lampard to be in the defensive midfield. Mikel is excellent defensively and Ramires is good, but neither is good at ball movement or is particularly creative and you need to bridge the gap between the defenders and the attackers. Otherwise, you have the attackers coming back too deep to receive the ball.

I agree although I'd also say that buying a young player for cheap and watching them develop into an excellent player or buying an unknown and watching them excel are excellent.

I'm not saying we don't and I think Hazard and Hulk (and Marin and De Bruyne) are all excellent additions and should form a potent attack that could lead us to winning the Premier League. I am simply saying that, inevitably, we, like any other side, would have to adopt a more defensive approach than we normally would were we to play Barcelona or Real Madrid.

There are two kinds of defensive style:

1. you keep all regular players, but put them

more defensibly (RM)

2. You take you attackers away and replace them with defenders (Chelsea CL this year)

And with second option everyone shits on your team and you cant perform 5 straight passes and make 5 decent attacks in whole game. I dont want that again. Not when we have Hulk and Hazard.

Borussia style against Bayern was great performance or Real against Barca last time.

Chelsea did nothing against Bayern, except that goal and I dont want us to play like that again.

But if you take Hulk away and play with Ramires we will play like that again.

I wouldnt play straight attack against Barca, but put REGULAR players more back. I would play Hazard, Hulk, Mata and Torres at same time, but more defensibly. Im sure Roman wants us to play like that. That style is more defensible, but allows us to have lot of creation.

People criticise us to play to much defensibly and I want We play more attacking. Including teams like Barca. RM has very attacking team, but they still play against barca, they are just putted more defensibly. That is what we should do if we face barca. Not take away all out creative players and put 10 defenders in penalty area like last time in CL final. We need to start DOMINATE the game, not leave opponent the ball.

Eh. Ramires doesnt need to be creative from a DM position. He is good at running with the ball forward and perhaps set up Hulk with a nice pass on the wing. Mikel is good at what he does and we should use him. We also got Lampard who's been excellent down there.
