Thank heavens members are seeing through the exaggerations of Panorama here. I watched it and was disgusted how the BBC portrayed this as a representation of the entire nations -_- smh.

I bet he wasn't even here and he talks shit.

The presenter was there throughout and I'm surprised he didn't end up dead to be honest. Did you even watch the show? I guess not due to your ignorant and bias comments.

I can't believe this is causing more outcry than South Africa 2010. One of the world leaders in crime, not to mention those attacks on white farms that have been going on for years.

Anyway, nothings going to change if players don't do something drastic. For example, lets say black English national team players are abused, if the entire team walked off the pitch, that would get UEFA's attention.

I was takling about Campbell's comment. Do you even know how the media works? :clown:

I wonder what kind of a material would I get if I wanted to make a documentary about hooliganism in England nowadays and went to some Millwall match.

Btw. I guess you're right, now that I think about it, I change everything I said, you've watched some BBC show and have heard Sol nobody's comments so you must know more about my country than I do. Once again, apologies.

this is gett'n way out of proportion.

Listen there is in fact some strange mentality with ppl from Poland and Russia and Ukraine in genreall, like I said I've had many frineds of mine from there and many where racist, I can't explain why, maybe its some weired thing with gett'n done with all the Communism but its still strange, especially if you consider Poland being attacked as very fist naton from Hitler, but than it's that many of the ppl in the new borders which fell under Polands controll after worldwar 2 are still full of that germans that couldn't move from there. maybe somehow understandable.

But none of you can say any country is free of racists and stuff like that and you can see at manuf's sig that he is (hopefully) not a racist. You have always to considier you're accusations well and not just talk to it. I said the vid was disgusting and it is in several ways and you find seldom masterstrokes of journalism when it goes about this, BBC seem to ignore they're own past and now and Manuf is right about this if there was somebody who has no right what soever to point with his finger at others its the western countrys you can always find dark sides of ppl and civilisations there is no problem and you can say hey look there is an problem with it but to be correct we will show they're a minority maybe more than in other countrys due to some economical problems but there are other ppl living ther too.

by the way a master stroke of journalism (don't know the english title) is "Auf der Suche nach them Antisemitismus" (Searching for Antisemitsim?), this is a wonderfull documentary if you have time to watch it, search for it, made by an jewish guy, it sometimes makes you think WTF?...

I don't think this is about every country having racists, it's about the levels of Racism in certain countries. You shouldn't be scared to go and support your team in a tournament for fears of getting your head kicked in. That obviously happens in Ukraine and most certainly does NOT happen here for example. We have racists of course and we've had a history of violence but there are difference variations of 'racist'.

Sky Sports news' report on Ukraine and Panorama are telling us what is going on there, fuck the reasons why or the circumstances behind it or forget if it's a minority, the fact is that Ukrainian nutters are planning violence at the Euro's and it's a fact that people are going to get injured or killed, especially with England playing Ukraine in Ukraine in the last game, shit will happen. They've been planning fights on the English for months.

And saying that anyone with England flags or shirts should cover them up and show no patriotism on 'our turf' or they will be forcefully dealt with... i mean ffs this shouldn't happen at all, not in this day and age. It wouldn't happen here, that is for sure.

We'll see the consequences soon enough. It might be a minority but it is a dangerous situation and ffs i aint even started on the racism yet.... they will target black/asian english fans apparently, it's shocking.

All in all, i'm glad i'm staying here, i'm worried for my fellow brits i must admit and i genuinely hope they get there and back safely. Hope the tournament is a success and ends with no tragedies or bad incident.

Just to give you lot some perspective:

General elections will be held in Greece on the 17th of June after a failure to create a majority government. All parties get some free TV time to communicate their message to the public. The (self called) nationalistic party saw fit to include in one of the less than half a dozen visual short "aims" that are shown before their leader starts babbling their support towards the (re)creation and (re)armoring of lethal minefields along the north-eastern Greek boarders.

I was disappointed when I heard that the Euro's would be in Poland and Ukraine. The problems in these countries are on a total different level to what it's like in the UK, you have organisations in these countries who actively attack people of colour and gays in public. Poland has a organisation called Combat 18 who go out and attack people with weaponry, I can't think of one UK organisation who actively encourage violence against people of colour so lets face the facts ''MANUF''. The most the right wing in the UK will do is attend harmless protests which nobody gives a shit about. If you ask black footballers who play in these countries they'll tell you that they have been subject to racial hate in these countries numerous times, I dare you to ask someone like Danny Welbeck if he gets the same abuse in England.

Just a quick question. Is that supposed to be a joke or a sarcasm because I can't really tell.

This problem wouldn't have existed under communist rule. Such people would have been sent off to a gulag for neo-Nazism, as they would have been seen as fascist counter-revolutionaries.

It is a cause for concern that a minority of Ukrainian and Polish football fans/people in general find it funny to beat up people who don't look white. But there are a lot of precedents for countries that wank about with human rights and related issues but still get to host international tournaments. India with the Commonwealth Games in 2010 are an example. The Beijing 2008 Olympics, as well.

Compared to the excesses of the Hindu right wing and Chinese government, a few neo-Nazi thugs are small fry.

What is genuinely concerning is Qatar 2022- where Israeli's and homosexuals are unlikely to gain entry to the country at all. At least Pol-kraine try to make things work.

Also, what in fucks name is wrong with Slavic neo-Nazi's? Hitler hated them. Slavs were as subhuman to him as a Jew or a black, his master plan was to enslave the Slavic race, and eventually exterminate them. Surely they're not stupid enough to idolise a guy who wanted to inflict slavery and extermination on their entire ethnic group?

And then there's the daddy of all fuck-racism-get-on-with-it precedents, South Africa's Rugby World Cup in 1995.

you should learn to use multi-quoting and post editing. post count isn't everything in this world.

The chairman of Poland's second largest political party said "The affirmation of homosexuality will lead to the downfall of civilization we can't agree to it". This individual is the former prime minister of Poland and the current leader of the opposition party, this is an absolute disgrace.

Well, for as long as I can remember I've respected you as a user. Sometimes you were annoying, a bit controversial, but usually you had some quality posts. Now, you've lost it all.

If you wanted to spread some sick propaganda, than good job on your side, but searching for a whole story behind what you posted took me about 30 seconds.

Here's a full version, if somebody cares about truth.

On 21 September 2005, Jarosław Kaczyński said that "homosexuals should not be isolated, however they should not be school teachers for example. Active homosexuals surely not, in any case", but that homosexuals "should not be discriminated otherwise". He has also stated, "The affirmation of homosexuality will lead to the downfall of civilization. We can't agree to it". Lech Kaczynski, while mayor of Warsaw, refused authorization for a gay pride march; declaring that it would be obscene and offensive to other people's religious beliefs. A Warsaw court later ruled that Kaczynski's actions were illegal.

The party's position on gay rights, and their perceived homophobia, has led to controversy in the United Kingdom where the British Conservative Party joined them in the anti-federalist grouping European Conservatives and Reformists. The Labour Party criticised the Conservatives; with former British Minister for Europe Denis MacShane saying "Tory isolationism is now creating a network of unpleasant, ugly, anti-European parties grouped around Cameron and Hague, but surely they should draw the line at links with gay-bashing homophobes". Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague defended the PiS and called the accusations of homophobia ""ill-informed and out of date". The controversy continued after a video from 2000 was released of Michał Kamiński using the derogatory polish word "pedal" (usually translated into English as fag or queer) to refer to gay rights campaigners. A spokesperson for Kaminski said the term had a different connotation a decade ago and is not a word he would use today. Conservative MEP Timothy Kirkhope defended Kaminski saying his remarks were taken out of context

Oh, and also, since you didn't care to respond to my question, because I thought what you wrote was a sarcasm.

I was disappointed when I heard that the Euro's would be in Poland and Ukraine. The problems in these countries are on a total different level to what it's like in the UK, (1) you have organisations in these countries who actively attack people of colour and gays in public. (4) Poland has a organisation called Combat 18 who go out and attack people with weaponry, (2) I can't think of one UK organisation who actively encourage violence against people of colour so lets face the facts ''MANUF''. The most the right wing in the UK will do is attend harmless protests which nobody gives a shit about. (3) If you ask black footballers who play in these countries they'll tell you that they have been subject to racial hate in these countries numerous times, I dare you to ask someone like Danny Welbeck if he gets the same abuse in England.

1. Combat 18 started in Great Britain by neo-nazist group called Blood & Honour, the BNP and the National Front. They were also associated with Chelsea Headhunters. Oh, the irony.

2. 0.jpgbnp-opposing-Islam.gif

3. Funny, I dare you to ask Patrice Evra, Anton Ferdinand or Paul Canoville

4. Just like: United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Russia, United States, Canada, Australia, Iceland, Czech Republic, Serbia, Sweden, Denmark and other countries. All they did in Poland was posting on a site called RedWatch, where they called people they didn't like their "aimes". No attacks were proven to be made by them. They're harmless and have never done something as extreme as planting bombs, in contrast to the situation in the UK.
