Unionjack 7,531
Amyone thats been to the ground and watched Roman will tell you that he loves Chelsea. My old grandad used to love the horses and in his 80s he had a bet every time it was on telly. He would ride the horse from start to finish and you could see every expression on his face as the race went on. Roman is just the same. He jerks round and rings his hands and doesn't give a fuck whos around him and you can just bet hes as pissed off as much as we are if we lose and happy as us when we win. I'm glad hes our owner tho Id love to have a conversation with him and the people at Chelsea that represent him just ro know how the fuck things work. 11Drogba
Fernando 6,585
The only thing I hope is he lowers the expectation on coaches. If we are restrain in buying in the market because of the stadium then he must know and the board must understand that we will not be as a competitive. That being said the team we have is good enough to finish top 4. I think if we reach that this season it would be a good one. But as well if we see some massive improvement but fail to reach top 4 I would not take it as a bad season. Tautvix

xPetrCechx 13,573
#Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich was nearly £100million poorer last night after shares dived in his steelmaker Evraz. [Mail] Profits at the firm slumped 60 per cent to £36.5million in the first half of 2016 while revenues dropped 28 per cent to £2.7billion. [Mail] It pushed shares down 11.2 per cent, wiping around £307m off its value. Abramovich has a 31 per cent stake – meaning he lost ~£95m. Evraz’s profits dropped by a 60 per cent to £36.5million in the first half of 2016 after revenues had fallen by 28 per cent to £2.7billion. Conequently, the firm’s share-price fell by 11.2 per cent to 153.5p and lead to the value of Evraz decreasing by £307million. It is claimed that this loss will dent is personal fortune by £48b! The idiot that wrote this cares more about clicks than financial understanding. Either he has none or is deliberately misleading people just so that he can publish a story. The raw facts about the drop in the share price might be true but The conclusion he draws from that fact has nothing to do with the realities of the way financial markets work. I wish journalists would spend more time trying to educate we the public rather than trying to exploit any ignorance we might have. [Mail] Let's not ever forget who is bankrolling this club and how we're able to make these expensive signings. The fact is Roman is nowhere near as wealthy or as willing to spend money as he was when he first took over the club 13 years ago. He can no longer compete with the amount of money the two Manchester clubs are able to shed season after season. And this is disastrous for us since we took 10 steps backwards after Mourinho's 2nd coming. Any rebuild is going to be a slow and ardous one. We can't simply spend our way out of the current problems we have. It's possible we don't make any other signings this summer. This is one of the most critical seasons in our history. If we don't qualify for the CL this season, we are in serious trouble. bellion and xPetrCechx

Adnane 1,101
I'm not calling for him to leave just yet ( if we keep being shit for 2-3 years because of the same mistakes I might ) as it's much more complicated than that given the rest of our board. But things up there need to be shaken up, whether it's a change of personnel or strategy, we need to MOVE FORWARD, I feel we haven't done that since 2012, it has been 4 years and a half, many players came and left, I still can't sense consistency or a clear direction towards success, I don't want glamourous football, nor at least one trophy per season, just a clear path emphasizing our progress as a team, even Liverpool today looks to have that, we don't, and I can't help but think that 2014-2015 was just a one-off thanks to some exceptional individuals ( mainly Hazard ), in the remaining seasons we were ranked 6th, 4th, 3rd &10th respectively. If we fuck it up this season again, regardless of the manager and players performance, the strategy needs to change and we need to focus on enhancing the first team. KevinAshburner 1,270
Roman Abramovich ready to fund major transfers if Chelsea do not improve http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/09/26/roman-abramovich-ready-to-fund-major-transfers-if-chelsea-do-not/ Roman Abramovich is prepared to bankroll an overhaul of the Chelsea squad if the players cannot convince head coach Antonio Conte that they can compete for major honours once again. Chelsea owner Abramovich has largely backed his playing staff through Chelsea’s tumultuous 12 months in which he sacked Jose Mourinho and appointed Conte during the summer. Rather than dumping the players who made the worst-ever defence of the Premier League title and failed to qualify for Europe, Abramovich and Conte agreed to give them another chance to prove their worth.
