Okay so next season, we're in the NextGen series alongside other top sides such as Le Arse, Spuds, Liverfools-- okay, the REAL top sides are Ajax, Barca & Anderlecht amongst those great teams. Hopefully this could really benefit the kids and they'll use the experience to terrorise the CL in a few years. ;-) U-20's I think and three overage players (have to be 21 if overage).

Nice squad. I'd expect Kalas to be loaned out again...and wouldn't be surprised if Lukaku is on loan somewhere next season.

In my mind Kalas. He carried Vitesse in the Eredivisie this season.

The NextGen competition should be an excellent oppertunity for our youngsters, it is a U19's competition so will mainly feature the FA Youth Cup squad plus a few of the older players. Playing a good number of games against big teams in Europe is excellent for our youngsters. And with the U21's league we should be seeing some much better football for our youngsters to develop with.

Just on the points above, neither Kalas or Lukaku will be involved with this. Kalas will be on loan and Lukaku will either be on loan or have more first team involvement.

Ajax have some wonderfully exciting youth players who are eligible (Christian Eriksen, Nicolai Boilesen, Davy Klaasen, etc) ... should be a really competitive group

Eriksen will not play because he is an important first team player and I doubt Boilesen will either, but they have tons loads of other talents who should play such as Fischer, Rits and Klaasen as you mentioned

Looking forward to this. Aparently NextGen have arranged a telvision deal for the competition the details of which have not yet been released. Bulk of the team for us will be the youth cup squad. Which is a very good and capable team.

Will be very interesting to see the current level of some of the youth players and what they are made of. Ajax have one of the best (if not the best) youth set ups in the world and destroyed Liverpool 6-0 at their own backyard in this same tournament last season. Liverpool had a talented team out that night as well with the likes of Sterling and so on and Shelvey also took part in the tournament. The team will be up against really strong competition and look forward to it

This is exactly what we need. Real competition for these developing players, they can only improve by playing against teams of a high standard, even the majority of league games are not good enough standard. It is a shame that it is only up to U19's......

Don't think the NextGen series allows overage players at all. The new U21's league has allowances for some overage players. Lukaku will not play nextgen, neither will Kalas who will go back to Vitesse. Like i said before this will pretty much be our youth team squad competing in this, which is no bad thing considering their quality.

He may be eligable but he won't play, he will either be fully involved with the first team or out on loan, they won't spend a another season with him just hanging around.
