BlueLion. 21,491
Terry insists Blues back on track Terry believes Chelsea can still win the Premier League Chelsea captain John Terry believes the club's Carling Cup final defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend has enabled the team to forge a new bond. Terry and first-team coach Henk ten Cate had a training ground spat prior to the final, while the media focus has also angered Blues coach Avram Grant. But Chelsea returned to winning ways on Saturday, beating West Ham 4-0 away. "We've sorted things out very quickly as you can see from this performance," Terry told BBC Sport. We're still in three competitions and we've still got a very good chance "We've reacted to what has been said in the papers and reacted in a positive way and that's the only way the players can by doing it on the pitch. "At every club things go on behind the scenes and nobody knows the full details. "Things happen and things are sorted out very quickly and if not they drag on and disturb players and performances at the club. "That's not the situation at Chelsea. The lads, the fans and the manager are all fighting to move Chelsea forward." Chelsea had Frank Lampard, who scored the first goal on Saturday against his old club from a penalty, sent off just before the interval, but by then Grant's side were 3-0 up. Despite being a man short, Chelsea extended their lead in the second half. And Terry believes Chelsea, who are seven points behind leaders Arsenal, but with a game in hand, still have a chance of winning their third Premier League title in four years. "We have to keep believing," said Terry. "Arsenal slipped up on Saturday against Aston Villa. Any time they slip up we have to make sure we are there to pick up the three points. "We're still in three competitions and we've still got a very good chance." Source: BBC.co.uk
True_Blue 469
I won't be carried away by this win, even tough it was a fine match and if we win our match against Spurs we will be 4 behind Arsenal and 3 behind United. And both teams have a visit at Stamford Bridge we are certainly back in it but still far from winning it. Ollie 4,400
we're only back on track if we win the next few games aswell and we should. The win yesterday was very impressive yeah but we need to follow up. This is a big period of the season.
MikeCFC 45
Arsenal are wobbling and if Milan knock them out of the Champions League then they will have problems as they still have to visit SB and OT. Definetley not over yet.
Bandicoot 3
Its far from over yet, if we can win our game in hand and beat both Utd and Francenal at home we are in with a big chance, but its a very big if.

Hmmmm could go either way, could make them more detmind being the only comp they can win etc. And yeh defo need to follow up,its not Arsenal and Man you we need to worry about its the teams outside that can do some damange and we've dropped points against a few this season (Fullham,Blackburn,Everton,Pompy etc)
MikeCFC 45
Fergie is admitting that his team is more concerned about us than Arsenal.Normally this would be taken with a pinch of salt as we all know about Fergie and his mind games, but i really think he means it. All going well,we'll be second place by easter then it's the run in. Still think Yahnited won't lose two games before the end of the season, but we'll run them close and we are well up for the fight. PaulHopkins 1
Arse still have to play Red Scouse at the Emirates and Scum at Old Trafford so they could lose points there. Really speaking I think a Scum-Arse draw would be fantastic.

We cannot aford to drop anymore points,as much as Arsenal can't either. Arsenal getting knocked out of the CL will shatter their confidence to pieces. Gallas is already cracking up,as we all know. Laylabelle 9,539
Gallas is funny.Only made captain because he wouldnt shut up moaning. And he bloody better not score against us when they vist! And we wont mention Aston Villa.Grrrrrrrrrrr But meh whoever wins it if it aint us cant beat our record points so woooo.Arsenal can only get 95 so muhahaha
Ollie 4,400
Everyone will drop points against teams below the top 4. Arse have dropped points against Birmingham (twice) villa, pompey, blackburn, newcastle etc, man utd have lost 4 and all against teams who arent exactly great. Bolton, Man City (Twice) and west ham. It would be easy to say its all about when we play Man utd and Arse at home, Liverpool still need to go to manchester and north london too. Man utd still have arsenal. But tbh its not just the battles of the top 4, you need to do your jobs against the other sides too. Teams from say 13th (Newcastle) and below need the points just as much as us top 3 do. Even Fergie whinged about that, but he's a fine one to talk.
BlueLion. 21,491
We can't exactly call le Arse lucky with last minute goals, we've had our fair share. But we are still in the hunt. I don't think we'll win it but I think we hold the trump card in deciding the Champions.

Blackburn: Thanks to the Ref. robbed us off 2 points. Everton: Thanks to Cahill's Sensational Acrobatics in the last minute. Pompey: Thats understandable as it way an Away game. But the other 3 homes games we should have really won.
warnie_666 1,081
The best part is gonna come in April. Anyone could beat anyone in April as teams will be battling to get out of Relegation Zone so be assured they'll go all guns blazing against top teams. Also, teams would be playing for European places and again, they wouldnt give an inch to you. No wonder, Fergie once said April is the most important period you lose points in this month, you are a dead meat. We drew against Bolton at home and that cost us dear. MikeCFC 45
absolutely... btw when is easter? hows you mike?Yep,good thanks Aroop.Easter is a few weeks away,it's where fat bastards and women pig themselves out on chocolate eggs But in this case it's the business end of the season where the League tables start taking shape, although anything can happen. bigbluewillie 1,930
to be honest i didn't think that we'd be anywhere near in contention for the PL, so quite happy to be up there....so let's never say never and go marching forward regards:JBD

I don't believe he's really bothered about any serious threat from us, he's a seasoned pro and knows full well Grant's no match for him. Grant hasn't got the experience or the bottle for this, plus his job's under threat and Fergie's just piling on enough pressure to make sure. The other side of that is, by counting Arsenal out and saying he's more worried about us, he's winding up his nearest serious rival into the bargain.
