Cissé just won that game with 2 amazing goals that were solo strokes of geniuses, can't point a finger at anyone in our squad (though I'm sure fans will find a player with ease, probably Mikel). Wasn't the best attacking effort, but Newcastle were equally as defensively defiant. It's sort of weird but Torres & Drogba sort of showed a bit of chemistry today, we didn't really get to see a lot of it though because by then NUFC were defending deep. In a way this defeat should pump our boys to defeat liverpool hopefully.Now everything rests on the Champions League final !!! Shane 2,275 Posted May 2, 2012 Share Posted May 2, 2012 No complaints.Newcastle got a great opener and defended well for the game, Fabio Collocini, take a bow son, fantastic display from him, Williamson was also excellent.We brought on the big guns, and knocked on the door until we woke the whole neighbourhood up, But there is NOTHING you can do to stop that second from Cisse, what a signing, and a goal of the season without a doubt. It was an unbelievable goal.Onwards and Upwards, we didn't have our full team out, and played well when Mata, Drogba and Super Frank were on.Bring on Saturday. From what I'm reading the Malouda/Torres/Sturridge lineup was a disaster with Malouda and Sturridge the main culprits of ineptitude/selfishness/laziness. The midfield wasn't spectacular either. How did the Torres/Drogba partnership look for the brief time it was out there? Too little too late? Too difficult to break down the bus at that point?
