True psg Defence was class. Even kehrer just had a meh  game not even a shocker. Apart frontet goal bayern had just one chance. Bayern are just so clinical it’s madness. If we had neuer and they had Kepa we would have thrashed them at the bridge

Definitely goalkepper change match result from 0-3 to 3-0. No.

it is a rare thing, unfortunately

many managers are loved by the players but NOT respected

you have to maintain some distance or you become just a big brother or the leader of a gang of kids

Of course managers need to maintain that line between being their manager and "friends" so to speak but having that bond is important. Otherwise, you risk becoming a Mourinho or a Sarri.

Think Conte has the bond with his players but he just ends up destroying that through his unsavory, off-putting antics.

I love both teams, so not upset at the outcome, although i feel bad for Thiago Silva as what a shit way to go out on your last game

hope this doesn't change PSG's mind

It depends what players you have as a coach. When you have those Bayern players that all love Hansi so much because he is clearly a loveable dude and you have more chilled out personalities like Müller, Gnabry, Lewa, Boateng, Alaba, Davies etc. in your team, it works perfectly. It only becomes a problem when you have guys like Messi, maybe Ramos or such guys in your team that would not respect you. But this Bayern team is a team full of goofy players and they are more relaxed and Hansi is a man that is not a dictator or someone like that. Bayern does well with coaches like Jupp and Hansi (even though Jupp was way better, but their character seems similar).
Guys like Conte or Mourinho would never last at Bayern under current players.

Tuchel fell victim to the 'lightning strike' fallacy

he though because the dreadful Choupo-Moting (and he is dreadful, make no mistake) had scored the winner before that it would happen again

and he left a massive striker on the bench in Icardi who specialises in late goals, as I said before

that and not starting Verratti, who has been magnificent all season, just world class

surely he is going to be thinking these two things for years

and deep down, even moreso, thinking... Neymar.................WTF!!!!

goofy players and Bayern are not usually in the same sentence, but it is very true

they have almost no player who you would put into the 'pure prick' category

Manuel Neuer at times, but even he not an ogre, at least IMHO, I am sure many will disagree

he is just very entitled, which, at his level, you can afford to be

was absoltuely baffled by that. Choupo Moting failed two clorious chances. Icardi would have been perfect for this scenario. terrible choice to let icardi rot on the bench. i thought he was maybe cup tied or sthlike that at first bc he never played when i watched. weird stuff

But was Verratti when he came on really a gamechanger though?
Paredes Herrera and Marquinhos were fantastic in my opinion.
Tuchel lost because Mbappe and especially Neymar did not score those goals. You can always concede against Bayern, but PSG had so many clear chances to score a goal and had bad luck with the not given penalty.

You can argue that Icardi should have come on yes, but I think Tuchel preferred a taller option for the last ten minutes, so they can score a header.

Tuchels biggest weakness is that he overthinks big games like Pep, but he showed that he solved that problem in the last two matches or so. Was a very good coach at BVB and PSG did not lose because of Tuchel. If Neymar and Mbaple scored those chances, they would have won the CL and in my opinion, they actually deserved it really. Great performance overall.

not cup tied at all

he played a lot for PG in the CL this season

but ONCE since December

128e3abbccc1b380ff7d5da6cc487e56.png

12 goals in only 19 league games and only 14 of those games were starts

the bloke had 20 goals, 4 assists in only half a season's minutes

baffling

he is a proven goalscorer for ages

and it isn't like PSG play a game where he needs to be a stand up, bruising target hold-up man, like a Giroud
