I don't know why we are going after Silva honestly he is 35 already. Get some young guy someone to find the long term project. I can understand getting him maybe to he can impart some of his experience but...

we need a stopgap badly

I know Thiago is soon 36yo and that is completely against my overall philosophy

but he is a free transfer and can add stability and massive experience/leadership for a year or two

he goes into my 'genetic freak' category, wherein he si payer who will play (and has played) at a high level for 4 or 5 tears longer than 98% of other players

we are so disconcerted at the back and he can really help with this
