Its like something Trump has dreamed up

It's going to be Yuuuge, on the best teams, and the best players, playing in only the best stadiums.

Trump owned a USFL team.

Another interesting point that was brought up from someone of the Premier league, is that these big 6 are not breaking away from the PL but from uefa, the Cl. That is their problem and not PL.

So PL would be silly to do something against the big 6. If anything the rest of the clubs can go to CL and play there.

I guess that clickbait with all possible BS about SL and UEFA only today has generated more revenue, than actual playing football in CL match, lol

But I dont get what the teams would play for. The title and that's it. Finish 4th..would mean nothing. Finish outside top 4..means nothing. Be pointless for us to be in it still.

Unless understanding it wrong...

The Super League isn't about fairness. That's bloody obvious. But punishing the owners through innocent parties like the players, coaching staff etc is not fucking fair. Yes, players are part of those clubs but they did not sign up for this when they signed their contract however long ago and I'm god damn sure they haven't signed any amended contract either.

Do you really think the owners will have to care about explaining to the players, coaching staff? Yeah, they will just do their BS talking bla bla bla and then what we will have is a huge group of unhappy individuals.

Well again though, is it fair that clubs like West Ham, Leicester City, Wolfsburg, Eintracht Frankfurt, Atalanta, could end up playing in a CL that is depleted due to these 12 clubs leaving? Or even worse if it replaced the CL completely never be able to get in to it based on merit? Its not just about 12 clubs. Its about the countless others who will also get affected by this.

If we don’t back track and they kick us, City and Real out we really cannot complain. They said they would do these things so if they do after we’ve been warned I don’t know what your expecting. Regardless of it ifs fair on managers or players or not, they’ve gave their warning alongside the FA and then throw in the fans views on it, that should of been enough for the clubs. Ultimately these owners should have thought about it before agreeing to join it in the first place and even more so now after they’ve warned about it.I hope they do to send a message. I really do. Don’t want to see us kicked out obviously but in terms of maintaining the integrity of the sport it is absolutely necessarily they set extreme examples. I mean what do you think UEFA should let us off because it wasn’t decided by the manager and players? Really? What sort of example is that going to set? We are talking about 12 clubs forming a super league, not a wee incident or situation. This is going to change football forever and if FIFA, UEFA, the FAs aren’t strong they will become even more irrelevant in the future.

It's also gotta do with the fact those 12 clubs will pocket way more money in the Super League than in the Champions League. Isn't the financial gap between the big sides and the rest already big? How big do they really want more? And this is an even bigger issue in Spain because of the TV distribution between the 20 clubs. IIRC, Real Madrid and Barcelona get like 2/3s of it.

But you can't talk about fairness and then being okay with UEFA punishing innocent parties to get to the owners. Yes, the club may have been warned of the consequences but again, none of the players and coaching staff were involved in forming this Super League. It's the owners.

How can you also talk about integrity if the 5 clubs get kicked out and clubs that have been eliminated are suddenly brought back into the competition? There's basically no integrity left in the competition if that happens.

At worst, you kick those 12 clubs out of future Champions League competitions but this remaining season, it's just fucking nonsense.

And are we even sure that it's about fairness, integrity or whatever you want to call it with UEFA? It seems they're super concerned because someone else has created a competition that rivals them and may potentially eat away at their money. They know if those 12 clubs really leave for the Super League, then the Champions League will eventually lose its appeal because no one is gonna enjoy seeing Bayern or PSG win it every season (fans will also get bored of seeing big clubs play each other 100 times per season in the Super League but that's also another issue).

It may not be fair for players/managers or maybe doesn’t seem to show any integrity or whatever but the clubs actions are worthy of these sanctions if you like it or not. Theres no debate. If we weren’t involved I think you’d be less inclined to disagree. We have to look at this impartially.

They're just chasing their tail with this never ending lusr for more and more money which just ends up being blown on ridiculous transfer fees and obscene wages.

More money, people are never satisfied.

But the problem is that how much Chelsea will get compare to Real Madrid and such?

If we weren't involved, I probably wouldn't care to talk about it BUT it still wouldn't have changed the fact that it wouldn't be fair on the players and coaching staff of the clubs involved. Whether it's ours or Real Madrid's or Man City's, they didn't sign up for this. They shouldn't have to suffer the punishment because of the greed of 3 owners here.

No, you're not understanding it wrong.

You'll get a few of the "big 6" already well out of the title race by Xmas, so they will indeed have nothing to play for. You'll have half a seasons worth of games that are even more flat than what we've seen this season.

What will also be interesting is the meeting between the other 14 Premier League clubs tomorrow.

Steve Parish, who is the Crystal Palace chairman, basically admitted that the Premier League need the Big 6 on Sky Sports earlier and said they hope they can continue to include those 6 in the competition.

Well what else would you propose for a strong stance from UEFA?

Banning them from a competition they have no intention of being in next season, as the super league is effectively in their eyes the replacement for the CL, would be stupid beyond belief so I don’t know what else people want them to do?

I don't know...find a compromise somewhere?

What you said is just not ideal and it's also not fair on us fans!

One thing that I don't think has been brought up yet - is there any power that the CPO have to prevent Chelsea playing at Stamford Bridge in this format?

I would assume not and that the club have already ensured they're covered with this but would be interesting to know for sure.

Would be a wild scenario if the CPO and club's fans pulled away from the club and retained a version of Chelsea to remain in the Premier League that was fan owned.

There was just this one tweet...

Maybe a simple compromise with the bottom four of the Super League being relegated and replaced by the top four of the Europa League.
