Without Neymar, they couldnt even get near the penalty area.

I dont like the dude attitude, but it was so clear he is the only psg player on next level. No one else stepped up. Their midfield was toss, specialy Herrera and Icardi was once again proven to be a small game player. They realy missed the trick buying him as next striker.

I think that is what the old European cup used to be. 

That type of format made it more possible to be a giant killer. Many small teams could give a surprised and thus finals would have different teams not many expected.

The old European Cup it was still two legs and same away goals rules applied the difference was it was a straight knock out competition from the start. It was a far harder trophy to win games were always pretty tight as it was just the champions of the countries involved. English football was so different then we never qualified for the 74 and 78 World Cups yet English clubs dominated European club football despite having a 42 game season and two domestic cup competitions.

I actually watched last night's game which is rare for me Neymar dived and Taylor gave Arsenal a free kick.
