It's actually a mystery why he shits the bed in the CL, someone like Wenger you could put down to being too idealistic but on paper Conte's management and tactics should be perfect for this competition!

If anything, I think Conte is too rigid and predictable with his tactics. How often does he even deviate from his back 3 system? And when was the last time we saw a team being successful in the Champions League with a back 3? His back 3 can be countered easily after awhile, as we saw it ourselves during his time here. 

If Inter don't finish in the top 2, it will be the 3rd time in 5 seasons that Conte has exited the Champions League in the group stage.
