cosmicway 1,333
Arsenal have been like that since anyone remembers. The new pitiful losers are City.MUTD are excused because they are below par.The Scousers are also definitely below par this season. kellzfresh 7,229
Europe has moved from having walcotts and Sterling, to having people with the combination of ball control, passing, dribbling and vision. If you don't have 4 players in your starting line-up with this quality, you can only park the bus to win the Champions League.
kellzfresh 7,229
See how well Monaco were passing the ball under pressure. I don't know how we can't. If its not hazard, Matic or Willian the rest kick the ball away or lose it when a player chases them. stroey and lionsden

BlueLyon 9,359
Having a strong defense is prime thing to go far in CL. It gives you confidence going forward and control the game. Monaco has that. I knew they aint weak team but they still suprisised me big time. I though it will be a game with little goals, but they countered it perfectly. This is what happens at the very top of counter attacking game which Mourinho hope we do every single time, but 80% of the time it will end up looking more like bus parking aka PSG away, Atletico away than this. This works best if the home team likes to go forward all the time, as evident today and us against City last season when they were naive. iseah100 5,612
Well I am confident as well. Just like I was confident we'd beat Burnley. When you say "Chelsea are going to be the only one repping" you're making it seem like it's the same thing as saying "The sun will rise again tomorrow" when it's not. So yes, it is foolish. You're foolish. I'm a supporter.

They score three at the Emirates, missing several key players. Saving their best for when it matters I guess...They have a very young team btw. Would be nice if this was not a one season thing. communicate 2,703
Am I the only who thought Monaco was not great of a team. The 1st goal was lucky deflection, after that Arsenal defending was just absolutely horrendous

Popular Post! Henrique 9,133 Posted February 26, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted February 26, 2015 PL is really in bad shape. Not sure if anyone at this point still believe its the strongest league in the world. Years ago we had english teams playing the final year after year. 3 out of 4 teams in semi finals for 2 seasons in a row.Now its all over. PL is stuck in time. People love to talk about longevity, actually sometimes you must try something new. Arsenal is still managed by Wenger, but its obvious his best belongs to the past.United is paying the price for waiting too long to rebuild a team that was great in the past.Chelsea returned to Mourinho. While doing good in PL, the team playing style feel a little Jurassic in UCL.To be honest its shocking that we almost won PL last season, after so much inconsitence. Its also weird that Liverpool almost made it. City form was also far from superb.I cant say we have any great team in PL at this point. There is something wrong, because the teams are still spending huge money. When you dont have a great team to lead the league, its always a problema, because the rest of the league. If your team almost win the league, its very tempting to go for the next season believing Cahill is a world class defender, Azipilicueta is an amazing LB (he is not even an LB at all), and with the belief that your team only lack a proper striker to be world beater. If you never really challenged for the trophy, its when you get a reality check. Azpinator 2,325
You're foolish. I'm a supporter.LOL. Ahhh, shit, Iseah just owned me! How can I live now?Wanna call names? Ok. You're so immature and you probably haven't seen much of Chelsea in the past. Chelsea in 2005, 2007 and 2009 had the better team in the KO stages but somehow they didn't make it. If PSG somehow knock us out, your original statement would sound stupid then. But hey you're a supporter, what do I know? I can only aspire to be like you someday, hopefully. kellzfresh 7,229
What if you have them(Hazard, Fabregas) but still decide to park it anyway? only at Chelsea heheEven if we park the bus. Some of those players will be able to pass the ball out and hold ball under pressure. We can't do it, except hazard who knows how to win fouls for us, Willian can hold the ball but ends up passing it to the wrong person. Hazard and Matic are the only players in our team with this attribute of holding balls under pressure, winning fouls to stop pressure, dribbling out of pressure and passing accurately. We used to have essien, ballack, Drogba deco and anelka when we won the league under Ancelloti. That's 5 midfielders/attackers you have to foul to collect the ball off. We have just 2 now. DYC. 7,542
They'll be cashing in the summer. I would be surprised if many of their key/promising players stay around.I'm not so sure about that. They sold James, but for a ridiculous fee. And Utd are paying top money just to loan Falcao. So I doubt clubs can just come in and buy their players. While their rich owner has stopped spending big, I don't think he's stopped his plans of creating a top team. Instead opting for a more patient (long-term) approach. I have no idea though, haven't paid much attention to Monaco's 'project'.
