BlueLyon 9,359
Personaly, I would like Moutinho, Ayew and Hulk to come. Yes i know hulk has 90 mio clause, but they would sell him for 35, that is his actual cost. He told, he would like to come in chelsea. Moutinho could replace Meireles in DM position. He play same style like Modric. Ayew would be my second choice, if Hazard wont come. Or Lavezzi. Around 85mio, with sales we get 20mio and this would be first eleven + Azpi.CechIva-Luiz-Terry-ColeMikel-MoutinhoMataHulk-Torres-Ayew/LavezziBut just to tell, Hazard is flair man, like Mata. And Mata didnt do much yesterday. Hulk, Lavezzi and Ayew are better fighters.

Justin_3d 1,140
Chelsea should look to Leeds for a warning from historyhttp://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2012/apr/26/chelsea-champions-league-leeds-united

warnie_666 1,081
The similarities are Scary:In 1974-75, Leeds United were England's representatives in the European Cup. They began the season with a new manager, Brian Clough, who took it upon himself to radically transform what was generally considered an aging team on the verge of irreversible decline. He alienated many of Leeds's star players and Leeds form in the League suffered, and the manager was sacked. Nonetheless, by the end of the season, the aging Leeds team had managed to reach the semi finals of the European Cup, where they found themselves drawn against Barcelona, with the first leg at Elland Road. At the time, Barcelona had the world's greatest player, Johan Cruyff, in their team, and were hot favorites to reach the final. At home, Leeds achieved a slender one goal lead to take with them to the Camp Nou. Most critics believed theirs was a lost cause.During the second leg, the Leeds centre half, Gordon McQueen was sent off, and Leeds were forced to play Barcelona with ten men. They held out for a draw and made it to the final. And guess who did Leeds United play in the 1975 European Cup Final? Bayern Munich. And they lost 2-
capriccioso 2,545
Why, warnie?! I'm already incredibly superstitious about football, you've just made it worse
KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
History is there to be re-written. The similarities are uncanny, but where Leeds failed, we will triumph!
coolhead23 1,147
Couldn't this have waited till the finals.
Term-X 7,891
Indeed, it's startling to say the least. The most concerning part of it is the similar club circumstances, and the psychological aspects, which transcends mere superstition.
Spike 12,049
Never compare Chelsea to Leeds. Ever.I appreciate the similarities and the circumstances, but never compare Chelsea to Leeds. Ever.
Term-X 7,891
On the positive, Munich is the 'underdogs final' (Nottingham Forest 79', Marseille 93', Dortmund 96').The Leeds/Munich final was in Paris.
manpe 10,861
Didn't Clough take Leeds to Mallorca, same place where AVB did?E: quick wikipedia says it was Peter Taylor who did that to Derby, nevermind
Term-X 7,891
Didn't Clough take Leeds to Mallorca, same place where AVB did?No, that was only with Nottingham Forest..Besides, he wasn't at leeds long enough to do that (44 days).

Term-X 7,891
The Damned United was a pretty good movie. There was a sublime documentary which aired in the weeks before the movie release. Great storytelling from the interviewees, well crafted, a must see. FYI, part 1 is part 2, for some reason.
