"it [our pitch] looks really small ...maybe because it ends right after the lines. feel kinda sorry for the linesmen.

PS i just made some measurements. it looks more like 63-64 meters wide. that little tap between the corner and 16m box is 9.15meters. from there to the 16m line is aprox. 2 meters. and from the middle of the goal to that point is 20.16.(16.5+half of the goal which is 3.66) 9.15+2+20.16 x2 all that and it is 31.31x2=62.62"

:wank2: LOL

Honestly I nearly started crying I was laughing so hard.

Well, not all their posts are bad...there's a bit of respect here and there:

I've talked with Pep and we make the following up:

---------Valdés----------

Alvés--Piqué--Masch--Puyol

--------Busquets---------

------Xavi-----Keita------

-Pedro-------------Alexis-

----------Messi----------

Then I talked to coach Chelsea's John Terry, and thus put up:

------------Cech------------

Ivanovic--Terry--Cahill--Cashley

-----------Essien------------

----Lampard-----Ramirez-----

Torres-------------------Mata

----------Drogba------------

When you stand in a semi-final in the CL, you should not even feel confident advancement. At this point, any team to do it with one in a few seconds of inattention.

I am personally in no doubt that Chelsea come out to defend against us. It could have been interesting to see Messi against David Luiz, but he seems to be out with a muscle injury. Terry is not as mobile as he once was, but he is one of the best defender in the world in the field still. I think Cahill gets ranks as the second center-back. He seems to be a typical heavy defensive player, good in the air, prescient, but maybe not so fast. Ivanovic and Cole are experienced backs, which is still relatively fast. I do not think we will do 1on1 trough the flanks as much. Chelsea is also used to defend widely in PL. This however serves us a bit better, because we love playing our way through the middle.

Chelsea usually play with three in midfield, making it more complicated to find a space between their defense and midfield, where Messi can usually have it as the yolk of an egg. Their midfield is likely to be Ramirez, Essien and Lampard. I do not think Di Matteo has the balls to do otherwise. We have played against midfields that was faster, more technical and more fierce than theirs. Lampard will come to look like a dog in a game of pins. I think they're going to focus so much on defending their midfield will not bring much going forward. In the first match I think we make up relatively defensively. Caring for being away from home in the CL. I believe in a midfield consisting of Busquets, Xavi and Keita while we have our two most hardworking wings in the game in the form of Pedro and Alexis.

Their attackers are anything but good at finding each other. But with the likes of Torres and Drogba can never be sure of anything. They can easily zip-on-one get the opportunity. We know about Mata from Valencia. Although he should be their MVP, I think he's Alves feed. Torres, Kalou or Sturridge should be taken well care of by Puyol. In the vicinity of our defense coming Torres to handle the ball as Paris Hilton handles toilet cleaning. If his first touch was poor before, so it becomes even worse if he pressed. Problems arise in the running duel with him. If he played free, he can run away from our entire defense. Therefore, pressure on the ball carrier and location of strong defensive players are a must. I expect to Drogba, who is in great form at present, start at the top. One of their biggest threats are the set pieces in the air game. It is not nice. I therefore expect a defensive chain of header powerful people like Alves, Piqué, Puyol and Mascherano and Busquets and Keita in midfield.

I think we'll see a fairly tactical Barca in the first match. We will play more controlled than usual. I believe in a 1-1 or a narrow victory.

Chelsea know the difference among Catalans and Spaniards:

Class club.

Maybe we should try something just like Napoli?

Oh look, another player before a CL clash running their mouth again...

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/apr/16/dani-alves-chelsea-barcelona-fear

"There is no doubt that was the hardest game we have played, with everything that was at stake, the moment and everything that happened," Alves said. "People say Chelsea could have won but for the referee but that is not our problem. We do not control the referees. We are there to play football, to compete and to try to reach the final. What can we do about the referee?

"Chelsea did not reach the final because of fear. The team that has got a man more, is playing at home and winning should have attacked us more. But of course, if you don't have that [attacking] concept of football that Barcelona have, you stay back and you get knocked out. You have to go forward. Stay back: losers. Go forward: winners. I think Chelsea lacked the courage to take a step forward and attack us. They paid for it."

Alves admitted Barcelona's players were surprised Chelsea had not played with more attacking ambition after Eric Abidal's dismissal and that they drew encouragement from their hosts' approach. "At that moment we realised they had renounced the game," he said. "We realised that at 1-0 they were satisfied but they forgot that at 1-1 we were through and that is what happened. All they did is get the ball and get rid of it. Ball here, hit it long; ball there, hit it long! They never took that step forward. In other words they gifted us possession. And the worst thing you can do with Barcelona is give them possession."

Lampard: I expect Barca to win every game they play... but we can beat them

Defiant Frank Lampard insists Chelsea are relishing their role as underdogs against Barcelona.

The Catalan kings are red-hot favourites to beat Roberto Di Matteo’s men in the first leg of their blockbuster Champions League semi-final on Wednesday night.

But Lampard said: “I don’t mind if people write us off against Barca.

“We’re in the semi-final on merit. I understand what people are saying - everyone has this feeling with Barcelona that they’re going to roll over everyone.

“When they’re at their best they can do that. But we can’t show too much fear against them. We have to respect them, but we have take them on and play the way we did [in their FA Cup semi-final win over Spurs].

"If we do that, we can give anyone in world football a game - including Barcelona.”

Pep Guardiola’s defending European champions have carried all before them in the competition so far.

No team has ever retained the European Cup since the competition switched to the Champions league format, but the inspirational Leo Messi has been hailed as the man to help Barca change that.

Lampard added however: “I’m probably the same as everyone else – whenever I watch Barcelona on telly I expect them to win, so it doesn’t worry me that people say we have no chance. But when you’re coming up against them you have to believe in yourself.

“At Chelsea, we feel we’ve given them tough games when we’ve met before and we’re ready to do that again.”

The message sent out to Barca’s scouts at Wembley as Spurs were put to the sword was clear: Chelsea’s battled-hardened veterans are rising to the occasion yet again.

Leaving aside the part played by ref Martin Atkinson in allowing THAT goal, John Terry cleared a Rafael van der Vaart effort off the line, Didier Drogba netted what must surely be the finest goal yet scored at the new Wembley and Lampard himself smashed in Chelsea’s brilliant fourth.

Clearly Barca represent a whole new level, but Lampard is certain that Chelsea's 5-1 win over Tottenham will have given the men from the Nou Camp something to think about.

He said: “Barcelona won’t be underestimating us. They’ve proved themselves as a team and as players. We’ll concentrate on ourselves.

“If we play the way we did on Sunday, with focus and determination plus the ability we have in our team, we have to believe we have a chance.

“The second half was probably as well as we’ve played all season.

“We’ve come out of the [spurs] game with confidence, but this is now a completely new game. We need to start again. Every game now, we can’t rest.

“Sunday’s game was a symbol of Chelsea at our best and people know what we’re about.

“There’s not many teams you’d fancy to beat Barcelona over two legs of a semi-final - they’ve shown just how good they are in the last few years.

“It’s a huge, huge challenge - as big as anyone could take on. And if we win it would be one of our biggest victories.

"But it will only put us in the final, it won’t win us the cup. So then the next one comes.”

The debate continues as to how Di Matteo’s men will deal with Messi.

But then, the same topic came up prior to the meeting of the two teams at this stage three years ago, and Chelsea did so well that it was only the hapless refereeing of Tom Henning Ovrebo that kept them out of the final.

However, Lampard admits: “Messi is a different player to 2009. He was a fantastic player then, but now he’s improved.

“The level he’s taken his game to is something I’ve never seen before. I grew up watching Maradona, who was my idol as a player, but Messi has taken it even further levels, certainly in his club football.

“To score 70 goals, which he’ll probably end up with this season – that’s crazy figures. He’s the best player in the world on merit.

"Absolutely unbelievable.”

At the other end of the field from Messi, however, a Drogba playing as the talismanic Chelsea striker did at Wembley will be a handful for Barca.

Lampard said of the Ivorian's goal against Spurs: “Didier came up with something special, which you need your strikers to do now and then.

“It was an amazing goal.

“Sometimes with Didier, you just stick it on his chest, because there’s no-one in the world who controls it on his chest and moves instantly on it like he does.

“To get a yard of space on a defender like William Gallas and hit it with your so-called wrong foot into the top corner? Didi has hit some iconic goals for Chelsea over the years and that goes right in there with them.”

Interim boss Di Matteo had been expected to pick a shadow side and keep his men fresh for Barcelona.

But Lampard insisted his side will be driven by the momentum generated by so many high-pressure matches.

He said: “They’re all cup finals at the moment - the league games, the Champions League and the FA Cup. We have to approach them all in the same manner as we did today.

“I think we thrive on these games. It was up to the manager what team he picked and he went for a strong team, but we’ve got a strong squad.

“We all live right these days and the idea of another two or three days between games and then playing Barcelona - if you can’t get your mind and body ready for that, then I don’t know when you can.

“The manager will pick the team on merit on Wednesday, but we’re fit and fresh and ready to go. I’m certainly not going to ask to be rested.

"Our fixture list is amazing - and thank God for that, because when we lost away at Napoli you could see our season flitting away.

“Now, all of a sudden, we’re interested in everything.

"We’re all happy to be here and the manager has to use the squad.

"Didier hasn’t played for a few games but he comes in [against Tottenham] and puts in one of the performances of the season.

"It just shows that players have to stay fresh and, when you’re called upon, you perform.”

Its a German ref -with a German club in the other semi final and the final itself being at Bayern's ground. Mmmmm.:dunno::chai:

Platini :clown: should have the balls to do his own dirty work and ref the game himself

The same ref who was in charge of the Napoli match at home, a fair ref imo.
