Justin_3d 1,140
Has there ever was or will ever be a better partnership then the old good Gudjohnsen & Hasselbaink? I was hoping that Sturridge and Lukaku could be that, but for now is just a dream. Lukaku gets no time, and Sturridge has been playing as a winger. And with RDM style of 4-2-3-1 it seems like the two striker position is slowly dying out. OneMoSalah 8,889
Drogba and Anelka under Carlo were a good partnership.
capriccioso 2,545
The whole world seems to be shifting from 4-4-2 and its variants to 4-5-1 and its variants. I blame Spain and Barcelona. Striking partnerships will become even more rare than they are today in 5-6 years time, imo. Which in turn could lead to 3 man defences. Death B4 Dishonour 32
Not while Drogba is still here, Mourinho said and i quote "He eat's his competition". LOL
termninja 5,290
Shame Torres and Shevchenko didn't have a change to play together...
Madmax 9,219
A striking partnership needn't be limited to forwards. Would you for instance not call Torres and Gerrard a striking partnership for Liverpool?

There's something strange about your posts, I can't put my finger on it but you have changed something.Back on topic, I don't think so about Torres/Gerrard. Rooney/Hernandez is the only striking partnership of late I can think of.

Rubber bullets 1,183
Never with Drogba. Maybe if we sell him and get someone like Negredo to partner Torres, or any other combination not involving Drogba.

BLionheart 516
Would rather have a devastating trio a la Cavani-Lavezzi-Hamsik or Robben-Drogba-Duff/cole or Ronaldo-Rooney-Tevez .
YouNameIt 1,511
Sturridge will never work in a striker companionship, so yall can just forget him in that equation. UNLESS he becomes less selfish and works on assists more.Possibly, in the future, Torres+Lukaku. Or Torres and some new signing.

communicate 2,703
Not many big club is still using 2 strikers. Until we can get one striker who can create for others like Rooney or ibra, it's going to be difficult to Play 2 up top
