BlueLion. 21,491
Well, since the G-14 disbanded, Chelsea F.C. have become one of the 16 founding members, along with Manchester United, Rangers, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich amongst others. A.C. Milan • AFC Ajax • Barcelona • Bayern Munich • Birkirkara • Chelsea • F.C. Copenhagen • F.C. Porto • Juventus • Manchester United • NK Dinamo Zagreb • Olympiacos • Olympique Lyonnais • Rangers • Real Madrid • R.S.C. Anderlecht What is more, Kenyon is on the board. The entire role of the ECA is to refund clubs when their players play for their country. All in all, it seems a promising idea.
Elliott 7
Getting compensation for player's injuries is just another capitalist move, taking the game further away from its sporting beginnings.
BlueLion. 21,491
The fact at the end of the day is that football has already been ruined by money. Besides, I don't see what is so wrong about international associations paying compensation for club players getting injured. At the end of the day, a player is involved in his club team for probably 90%+ of the season, so to get injured in that remainding portion whilst on international duty should result in money being paid back to the club. Besides, €4000 is pocket money to football club executives.
