New Chelsea Manager

I can feel that Capello is gonna take over. He'd probably be my number one choice if indeed we are going to change. If anyone can bring a team back up a level and gain amazing respect, he's the man. Our style suits him too. He could perform miracles here given the time.

Capello could be similar to Ancelotti.

But good choice. Klopp is staying at dortmund, low in germany, blanc in france and mourinho at madrid. guardiola is never option to me, he never says what he thinks and all those manipulative games he plays...big dislike.

If Capello comes, Di Matteo or Zola as asisstant coach to motivate team and tell the manager advices.

Sure I like RDM, he is very passionate and loyal, but I hate he uses Kalou all time. Kalou told he wont extend contract unless he plays more important role and roberto is acting like he want kalou to stay. Kalou must leave in summer, I give Lukaku more chances than Kalou. Ok, he had good moments, but there is no longer place for him realy. And if RDM plays with him, just to make him to stay and he doesnt think of selling him, we need new manager. Changes must be done and Roberto wont make them. With old guard and current players, he is just too big friend to sell them or just say thanyou and goodbye. There is no other explanation to keep playing Kalou than this...weird from our manager. If he wont use Romeu against barca, shame on him...hope romeu stays with us, and not barca steal him from us.

If we get a new manager, we can't fuck about like last year. We need to already know who we're gonna get and he needs to come in as soon as the season has finished. This might be difficult given that Euro 2012 is only 8 weeks away but he needs to come in asap. I think RDM still has a slight chance.

Any of you rate our manager enough? (not that I'm worried because I think your manager will be foreign)

Absolutely. He's who I want to take over. Stated all my reasons very early on in this thread, can't be bothered to go over them again haha. Brilliant manager though I rate him very highly.

Yup. One great thing about David Moyes is he demands 100% commitment and effort from every single player in every game and judging by how our players have half-heartedly performed in the last 1 3/4 season, I say we could do with someone like Moyes. Only question mark I have on him is his tactical capabilities of switching things around before games against certain opposition or during games. Other than that, I think he's a very good manager, perhaps even underrated to a certain extent and deserves his chance at a bigger job(no disrespect to Everton). Have a feeling he might take over Spurs IF Redknapp leaves for England.

Apart from the vast experience and qualifications, the benefit of getting a qualified and reputed manager is that it will help attract 'top' players.I think we got Deco because of Scolari and the obvious high wages but if we appoint someone like Fabio,I am sure top players will want to play for Chelsea as they will get the chance to play under one of the greatest managers and earn high wages.

Think the same, for example, if we didnt reach the fouth place but we make Guardiola our mananger many players would like to play for us.

Yes a manger like Pep would certainly attract many players but I am not sure if he is the right man for Chelsea.Granted he's having some great moments with Barcelona but attracting top players wont be enough for reviving this club.We need a manager who can mix experience and youth(our own academy players preferably) together and who knows a lot about the English league.

No doubt whoever we get as our manager will play a major part in who we get in the summer transfer window but we'll also have to convince them that we won't turn into another Liverpool. There has to be a plan, a direction as to how the club will move forward for the future so that we'll retain our credibility and attractability even if we were to miss out on CL this year.

He insists that France is his priority but admits an 'exceptional challenge' could entice him.

"My intention is to continue with France, I have not changed my mind," he said.

Asked what would see him leave, he said: "The fact that the position with the Federation remains frozen, and an exceptional challenge is proposed to me. At that time I could very well decide to leave, but there is nothing there."

End of an Cycle at Barcelona? But Most Important, is it the end of Pep at Barcelona?

Barcelona has been on an amazing run these past few years. Winning everything and killing anyone in their path.

Albeit with some scandalous decision, but that's the life of this sport when there is no evolution for technology.

After many years every top team must take a breather. Today we might have seen that first step in Barcelona resting on their success. And full credit must go to Mourinho for doing that. Gearing up his team for a more expansive game that Mourinho has ever produced in any club he managed.

But I guess the most important question at this time for neutral is what will happen to Pep?

Pep a men that likes to keep short contracts, and who always keep stating that staying at one club for such a long time it's quite impossible in this day in age.

Very few are the managers that can do it, short-termism is the name of the game nowadays.

So if this is to be Pep last campaign in charge of Barcelona, where do you envision him next?

Is Chelsea in the cards for him? Will Roman resist the temptation no matter what RDM does in the remaining of the season?

Not sure if Pep wants to come to Chelsea. If he can help some of our youngsters break into the first team as well as get rid of the players that are simply past it (Kalou, Malouda, Bosingwa, even Torres).....then he should definitely be considered as Chelsea's next manager....but RDM has done well so far, particularly with the defensive side of our game.........anyway, who knows what Roman is thinking at the moment.

I want the club to gamble on RDM.

Anyway isn't the popular consensus that Pep will be taking a break from football after Barca? I'd imagine Del Bosque would want him to take the Spanish reigns once he calls it quits.

I'd love him here! I think Pep is realising Barca's 'reign' is coming to an end. He has said he would like a break from managing but you can't believe everything he says. I wonder where he'll end up. I'd love to keep RDM but for me if we could get either Mourinho or Pep we should go for them. They are big names who will demand respect and attract the best Talent.
