27 passes, 100% pass completion, 3 interceptions, 1 tackle, 1 block. Not sure what more people were expecting from a 19 year old on his début put in there to sit with Mikel.

Few people slagging him off already. Unbelievable.

And then they moan about lack of youth integration!

I think with De Boer gone Palace will revert back to their more pragmatic long ball style which won't help Ruben develop as much as if he stayed. Remains to be seen but I think De Boer is a better coach for young players than Roy Hodgson.

I think both the loan of Ruben and Tammy were good ideas but the situation has changed at both clubs.

De Boers way of playing was good for Ruben, but he has left.

Sigurdsson would have had a field day with Tammy up front, but he has left.

Woy isn't a bad manager imo. Remember when he took Fulham to the Europa League final in 2010. Think he'll like RLC too. Likes playing a 433 so could possibly see him in a true attacking CM role which I think is his best position.

He's good at consolidation and getting relegation level teams punching above there weight, he stopped West Broms yoyo reputation and was probably the reason Fulham lasted as long as they did, but has he got a track record with developing young players?

Once again, been Palace best player by far. Southampton have controlled most of the game however he is the only one who is actually posing a threat and causing problems to Southampton. Man, his team mates need to improve big time and Zaha needs to return ASAP.

No need for Barkley with RLC put in good performance

As long as Ruben plays lots - which I think he needs more than a manager that's trying to mould him - he'll be fine for this season at Palace. He just needs game time most importantly.

I'm probably Loftus-Cheek's biggest critic on planet earth, yet in this friendly vs. Germany he's been immense. Through balls on the ground, through balls in the air, driving through with power past multiple players, tidy passes.

Everything people act like Bakayoko will become...Loftus-Cheek is showing he already is. Their traits are the same, but i'll never see Bakayoko play to the level RLC has today. Absolutely involved & influential. Multiple chances created. Bakayoko's a one-chance-per-game type player.

I guess Bakayoko's a better ball-winner. But my understanding was that we signed him to drive forward like this.

Been England's best player by far tonight. The lad has so much ability its unreal. He just needs regular playing time like he is getting at Palace and to keep on being consistent and he can be a top player. His acceleration on the ball is excellent too.

The difference between this game vs. every time he played for us, is the lack of laziness. Poof. Gone.

Now a normal, average-work-rate player, with above-average physical abilities. Useful.
(Surprisingly accurate with everything he did too. Thinking + acting quick on top of that. Murder if he doesn't make it here due to Bakayoko, if he keeps up this level.)
