CHOULO19 24,332
Mata had a very productive first season. Malaga are a Champions League club. If he plays well for them I don't see the need for him to step down again to a Fulham before making another step up. Good players play well anywhere. Piazon has to prove himself at Malaga first before anything else. But Malaga will not be playing in Europe next season due to their ban. English Freak 456
Did you see him when he came on against Villa? And how he's settled at Malaga in La Liga? With Swansea in Europa next season they are going to need to get a bigger squad to cope with the demands of European football and there attacking options on the bench are Luke Moore, Lamah, Shechter and routledge. He would certainly get enough minutes if he moved there and the way he plays suits there philosophy. It's got nothing to do with overrating himWith Swansea in Europe next season, they'll probably be able to attract even more quality players for cheap transfer fees...hence the likelihood of them signing Piazon on loan isn't very high.. Styles 9,790
But Malaga will not be playing in Europe next season due to their ban.But they are right now. They're also only 3 points off 4th so they are a very good team which shows they are competitive in a good league despite the ban. If he does well for them then he shouldn't have any problems coming back to Chelsea. Mufassir08

He's managed to make an impact at Malaga and they're a CL club

lucio 5,418
idk probably not. he is my favorite and it looks like we made another retarded decision. why not just loan him to reading. adkins would be like "what position do u play son?" and he would be getting 90 mins every week. kellzfresh 7,229
I wish we loaned him to a smaller team to get some games under his belt. His game time in malaga has not increased that much from his time here

Kinol 337
He made his debut at Malaga at the end of January and now about 3 months later he has 13 games and 2 assists. I think thats pretty fair and he im sure he wouldnt get that many games here.
ja1 1,166
He's pretty much the Marin of their squad. Sometimes doesn't make the matchday 18.

He's hardly made any difference there. Better than nothing here.I think we should look at to loan him to a newly promoted side next season, as I think hes not yet at the level of KDB, Lukaku even Chalobah who can get game time now. Him, Josh and Kalas are 3 players I would prioritise in getting EPL loans.
CHOULO19 24,332
Better than nothing here. But worse than a loan to championship side or even a lower PL team where he could have got regular minutes.
Beepu 1,714
But worse than a loan to championship side or even a lower PL team where he could have got regular minutes. Oh yeah totally agree with that, no question about it. But there must be a reason why he was loaned to a champions league team but not to a lower PL team? if hes good enough to get minutes in Malaga surely he's good enough to get minutes at lower table teams. BlueLion. 21,491
I have absolutely no idea why he was loaned out. We knew we'd be in the EL, and he'd probably have started every one of those games.
