The Big Drog 1,110
KDB is a special talent. He reminds me of Toni Kroos/ Swiensteiger in his overall Package.( ironically like Sweinsteiger A wide midfielder converted into a central one- although he himself has stated the Central midfield is his best position) In terms of potential i would rank him above Kroos, it is just a case of will he get game time? Because lets be honest who would have thought Kroos would replace Muller. In a way we actually dont need another midfielder next year. Allthough i love Frank he should not play more than 30 games. Rather he should Share game time with Mceachran and KDB( so he gets used the the English game, and less Pressure... He would also share time with Mata at CAM and give him a breather ) as well as tutoring both of them the Chelsea way and the winning ethos that Mourinho instilled in him during his time here. If things pan out well could you imagine a midfield choice of CDM- Mikel, and Romeu/ CM- Lampard, Ramires, Mceachran( our own Xavi/Modric),KDB/ CAM- J. Mata, KDB(Toni Kroos/ Swiensteiger ), Kakuta, Paizon. = All of them could be world class.I'm looking forward to De Bruyne arriving at Chelsea and I really hope he gets a chance because he could be a solution to the problem of a lack of creativity in midfield. However to rank him above Kroos is ridiculous. As good as De Bruyne might be he has done nothing yet to warrant comparison with Kroos, one of the finest young players on the planet. The young German is nothing short of phenomenal.
Leif 6,006
De Bruyne is an attacking midfielder, who plays on the left wing, and is right-footed.He has amazing dribbling skills, and pin-point precision passes and crosses. He is a great free-kick taker.Marko Marin has been bought as a squad player to replace Kalou, and won't be a regular starter. De Bruyne will be a starting winger, if a starter at all, and not a central midfielder. We are Chelsea. We don't do what's obvious and play players in their best position. teignman 441
Apparently, according to the Sun (so who knows the veracity of this claim considering the source), KDB is to be loaned the Southampton for the coming season. I would like to see him loaned to a better side than a newly promoted club, but getting playing time in the PL is what matters most at this stage of his career. He could probably provide decent backup to Mata & Hazard, judging from the Genk games i've seen in the past 2 seasons.
Kostas 1,468
Getting the (any) loan sorted so early in the transfer window says something about how much the other club wants him and how he fits into the plans of their coach. With some luck and some managerial stability he may come back with more than 10 PL starts which would be a tremendous number by our standards. Ollie 4,400
Really hope he does well at Southampton if it's true, look forward to seeing him in the Premiership to see how he does. A prem move to any club is vital in his development.

To compare someone like Kevin a player we hardly have seen playing is just ridiculous, I feel.

EdenHazard123 21
Sturridge prefers playing as a striker instead of a winger. Thereby, De Bruyne kan also play as a CM.
BleedsBlue 1,549
KDB should feature for us in the first half of the season and then the club should decide whether to send him out on loan or not.I am sure he'll do well for us and can imagine a formidable link up with our front men. In fact i believe it contributes to their poor showing on loan. I can understand our club wanting to do their diligence and finding the best option for the players, but the strategy is not working. But it is best for the players to settle in have enough time to make an impression on the manager before the season. All managers want to have their squad ready before pre season, and most team don't have the resources like we do to fill our needs in the last day of transfer window. Here is what i believe if teams like Boltan and Wigan really needed the likes of Kakuta and PVA they would have not waited intil the last day of the window to sign them, they would have signed similar players well before the deadline. With Swansea case they actually needed McEachran, but they were not going to wait for us they ended up signing Sigurrosson.
BlueLyon 9,359
As much I would like to see him as backup instead of Malouda, I think its best for him to play regulary in other PL club. Or maybe even Lille...

Justin_3d 1,140
^^ Thats what I thought when Josh went to Swansea. But I was really disappointed. And that loan a long with the Kakuta loan to Bolton put all the myth away that Rodgers and Coyle where great with young players. If anyone that I know that has done good with youngster has been Martin O'Neill. He did great job at A. Villa. They brought a lot of players out from the academy.
CHOULO19 24,332
^^ Thats what I thought when Josh went to Swansea. But I was really disappointed.Swansea was different because Josh went there mid season with the club exceeding expectations and Allen and Briton having two of the best passing stats in not just the PL but all of Europe. Why would Rodgers change anything in his starting lineup especially that Josh was very "shy" in his contribution in the only game he was given a chance?
