The ball came behind him, so it was impossible to just shoot it, he was forced to try something fancy. This was just a miss, if the pass came one metre more in the direction of the goal, it would have been a very bad miss. Now it's an imperfect pass and just a miss.And let's focus at that one missed chance and not at those 6 chances he created that game which were all missed by other players By the way. 2 months at City, 2 times player of the month. He can't shoot the ball normally, the pass is too much behind him. It's obvious like 1+1=2. The pass is an excellent attempt, but it is very far from an excellent pass.
