Joshyboy 36
After seeing Gokhan Tore, Slobodan Rajkovic, Jacopo Sala and Kaby leave so far along with a decent number of youth and reserve team players I've forgot to mention, like the chubby looking ginger lad, who do you realistically think is going to make it through our reserve and youth system there's loads of promising talents but I can't see anyone breaking into the team anytime soon. Proud of Sturridge making it into the first team but realistically after we signed him from Man City he was already going to end up In the team sooner or later, Josh isn't getting alot of chances at all and I can't remember the last debut we handed a player, probably Bertrand last season? Bruma's basically gone and hes really in no rush to come back, understandably, capped by a world cup finalist national team but can't get a full game in our back four (which again is understandable) and I'm surprised Kakuta's stuck around this long festering In the reserves. So basically long story short, in the next couple of years who do you see getting into the first team, not just for a five minute run about with two touches of the ball but a real chance to stake a claim to the first team? manpe 10,861
Realistically, only Josh (formidable talent carefully protected by Chelsea itself)... MAYBE Bertrand too, but it's not looking too good for him. The likes of Chalobah and others, I think they will join the list you mentioned.. we have high hopes for the likes of Kane, Bruma, Kalas, Lalko, Nate, Kakuta, Clifford, PvA.. but I'm at about 90% certainty they will fuck off sooner or later. Joshyboy 36
Who's gonna make it? Please don't go there, disillusionment is coming over me again...Merely asking for an opinion, more so of who's going to actually be GIVEN a chance in the first team than who actually DESERVES a chance in the first team
Liquidator 5,176
none of them because we would rather go after players like Modric and spend £40m than take a risk on some young players

ja1 1,166
Bertrand, Blackman, Chalobah, Kalas, Hutchinson, Bruma, McEachran, Piazon, Kakuta, and Lalkovic could all easily go on to be good players for a team as good as us. But will that team be Chelsea? I hope as AVB becomes more long term in his tenure so will the youngsters staying at the club and getting chances. Hell, Bertrand should be starting anyway. Badboy 1,526
Chalobah because of the way he reads the game will break through other then that no one else will break through in my opinion. I really hope Josh gets through but i'm not very optimistic now because of his position in the midfield and the fact that we will be spending big in that area. Joshyboy 36
Well thats another one down Philipp Prosenik just signed with AC Milan and as far as I can tell its a permanent deal, not our most promising player I must admit but none the less
Tomo 21,751
In time Deen-Conteh could, that guy such a good defender to the extent he is wasted further forward.
gary gordon 1,777
To be honest? None of them. Our club is too hungry for success and unfortunately doesn't have the time or patience to give a young bloke a go. We will just keep loaning them out until we unearth the next Ronaldo or Messi. Until then, we will just keep buying mercenaries, paying overs for them and giving them ridiculous salaries.
