My guess is Alonso, jorgi, Emerson and Toni are unhappy with their situation. Toni is moaning almost every second week by giving interviews with German sky

For English media he said he is happy.

I think this is about tactics and not playing time. I imagine Havertz, Werner are frustrated because they play out of position.

Rudiger? Why would Rudiger even be complaining about the tactics when he's not even playing much?

Man, looking at the squad one can only imagine what a coach like Hasenhüttl would get out of the players.

Instead, we‘re stuck with a fraud.

It would be interesting but still think he would be lower down the list. Or if he was our first choice I would be a bit concerned because I think Allegri, Tuchel, among other names should be the sort of level we go for first. He is a 442 man as he is at Southampton and at Leipzig. Its clearly his preferred system and has clearly helped him turn it around with Southampton. They have a lot of balls, the way Southampton play hunting the ball down and with a high line is admirable but you look at the midfielders and we have and the attackers we have, guys like Havertz, Ziyech, Pulisic. These guys don’t want to be chasing balls over the top and in the channels. They want to come inside play one and two touch combinations with each other, moving off the ball into spaces in and around the box. Southamptons actual play in the middle of the pitch isn’t that impressive. They are good for recovering second balls and getting stuck in but offensively they are heavily reliant on the balls in the channels and over the top. They are a good side for set pieces mind you and while thats something we have tightened up and improved upon ourselves, they have some good worked routines. The work rate would be night and day though but again I dont know how he would cope taking that style to Chelsea, bigger names, more demands, more pressure to win, I know Southampton are higher than us at present but theres not the same expectation.

9th in the table.

3 points behind Spurs in 4th and have played a game more.

Also 3 points behind City in 5th and have played 2 games more.

Looking at the top 6..somehow we have to get into that. I dont see how! Teams have blips but we have a blip at the same time.

Lose to Fulham and he will be on the brink.   Beat Fulham, Leicester and Wolves and we will go on a run IMO. He will be fine at that point     Beat Fulham, lose to Leicester and Wolves i think he will be massively under pressure then.   Draw against Fulham?  Not good either.   In other words he needs a few wins on the bounce to even be safe.

Before we play Fulham next Friday.    Utd will have played, City, Everton, Arsenal; and Villa Spurs play each other.  Points will be gained ahead of us, Fulham game is must win

Since comparing Lampard with Klopp is a common thing, did a minor digging on how Klopp progressed each season at Liverpool (+ only key signings highlighted):

*took over in October*
2015/16 - 8th (60 pts) + League Cup Final + Europa League Final

*bought Matip, Mane, Wijnaldum*
2016/17 - 4th (76 pts)

*bought Salah, Robertson, Van Dijk (January)*
2017/18 - 4th (75 pts) + Champions League Final

*bought Fabinho, Alisson*
2018/19 - 2nd (97 pts) + Champions League Win

2019/20 - 1st (99 pts)

Lampard bought Mendy, Silva, Chilwell, Ziyech, Havertz and Werner in the summer and unless we go on some sort of crazy winning run, we look on course for another finish between 60-70 points again or maybe even lower than that! Plus based on current form, it doesn't seem likely we'll go far in the Champions League either while another FA Cup run is no guarantee. We have never gone 2 straight seasons without winning a trophy under Roman.

Out of these two options what would you prefer at Fulham? Another drab performance but we win 1-0 through an Oli header or we draw 2-2 but play excellently going forward, create a lot and lose two points due to wastefulness in front of goal and/or a heroic performance by Areola?

I genuinely think i'd prefer the latter, we need a performance to give us hope going forward even if dropped points accompany it.

Oh the latter as well, totally. Scrapping an ugly win would feel like delaying the inevitable. We need progress in our gameplay first. Results would arrive later.

Its tough but right now dropping points cannot be an option. Even if it means not changing manager. Or even if a change happens. Everything’s quite tight just now with 5/6 teams all within touching distance but that wont continue for the full duration of the second half of the season. Teams tend to put runs together during the second half of the season because thats when results and positions become much much more meaningful than they are in the first half because its the business end of things.
