Rumor has it that Cavani is unhappy in Paris (if that's even possible); OK he's unhappy at PSG!

According to the independent :) PSG is going to bid for Luiz in the summer. If true, it could give us a way into signing Cavani.

I like David Luiz, esp in midfield where he can be more influential, but Cavani is the type of player who gets you silverware. The perfect striker for us IMO.

Cavani and Lukaku with Andre as a 3rd striker option...

Agree with many of the things u have said except

1. the gundogan price tag. 25 mil for a player with such serious injury concerns is insane money. We have actually been good in the market so don't think we will over pay.

2. Costa deal will include a player swap. Either torres or courtois.

3. The way jose is using etoo, I feel he will stay another season.

4. Marin and mosea should be added to sold list.

What's the point of swapping a player for Costa? £32M is his release clause, Atletico wouldn't push that down much if we offered Torres with it and offering Courtios would be full retard.

Chelsea have made an offer for Inter captain Zanetti, free agent in June: next year as player, then in management. Mourinho wants him.

Javier Zanetti's preference is Inter Milan but Chelsea have made a "special" offer. (via @GugliCannavale)

2014/2015 season as player, from 2015 as sport director in collaboration with Mou.

Many of you are forgetting Mou said there will only be 1 maybe 2 signings in the summer, this is a topic I feel he is serious about.

This may be true, who knows. What is definitely true is that, in every single transfer window during which Jose has been Chelsea manager, we have signed more players than he originally said we would.

FFP has never been as much of a reality as it is right now.

Lukaku has really dropped off in the last few months.

Generally I agree with what you've said but I disagree with this bit. Rom has not dropped off, people have simply seen enough of him to form a more realistic appraisal of his abilities.

In terms of being a leading striker for any of the game's top clubs, Rom's technique is deficient and this will be a problem for him. He is one of those players who, when he scores, will get more than his fair share of praise but who, when he's not scoring, will find the spotlight focuses on his shortcomings.

I do not believe that any Chelsea manager will ever be happy to go into a season with Rom slated to be our leading striker. Technical excellence is what I think we need. If the club agrees then it'll have to look elsewhere because Rom won't supply that.

Cos we won't be the only club in the world trying to sign him. Arsenal need a 2nd or rather a 1st striker and hence would very much be looking at him.

RM after another trophyless season will try to satisfy their fans thru a marquee signing which may very well be aguero/suarez. Henxe one of thoae clubs may be looking ibto him.

Torres deapite his infinite flaws still remains a very very vwry vwry marketable player. Plus its possible that witg juan gone, he may want to leave too, especially to a club where he began his career and he may take a wage cut like villa. Plus this is a league where soldado scored 30 goals last season and torres even now is better than him.

As for courtois, it would be a jard decision to let him go but if jose deems cech good enough for the coming 4-5 years then I won't mind. Plus ATM would probably love a deal involving courtois.

Hence in my opinion, a swap deal may very mich be a possibility.

Dafuq?Since when does Varane has a 25m release clause?

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen on signing Raphael Varane and is even considering meeting his £25m release clause, after the 20-year-old centre-back became a pivotal player for the Portuguese boss during his tenure at Real Madrid.

Varane moved to the Santiago Bernabeu in summer 2011 after Madrid paid around £8m to Lens to secure his services. Los Blancos signed him as future player, following Zinedine Zidane's advice, and although it was assumed he was in the fourth pecking order in the squad Mourinho gave him many chances in the top flight.

According to Sport, Mourinho has not forgotten about his impressive skills and is set to meet his £25m buy-out clause.

Chelsea already signed centre-back Kurt Zouma during the latest transfer window as long-term replacement for John Terry, but with David Luiz's future at Stamford Bridge uncertain Mourinho may need another defender and Varane is said to be his firtst choice.

The French international is struggling this season at Real Madrid due to a long-term knee injury but last campaign he made 33 appearances, impressing all in the Champions League game against Manchester United and earning a place in Mourinho's line-up, even ahead of Sergio Ramos and Pepe.

He has just returned to action and he hopes to be at his peak soon to make the summer World Cup in Brazil with France, where he may link up with Chelsea loanee Zouma.

Varane is happy at Madrid but at the same time he recently heaped praise on Mourinho, for being the coach that gave him his chance in the Madrid first team despite being a teenager.

"I'm only young and haven't had many coaches, which means it's difficult for me to make comparisons, but I'd say it's his personality and charisma, which were felt by the whole team. He's a winner, a competitor, and he transmits that to his players. Wherever he's gone he's always created combative teams with lots of character.

"He told me that I'd have my chance to play and that I was going to find out about myself and get to know myself better. Mourinho kept his word. In the two years I played for him he always kept his word, and he also knew when to throw me in at the right time," Varane said.

This is the first time it has been mentioned of Varane's release clause so it would be better to take it with a pinch of salt until one of the more reliable sources confirms it.

That can only be true if we are replacing david luiz :(

But varane is a fantastic defender, the times I watched him, he is better than any of the madrid centerbacks.
