Realistically its only stupid if Leno doesn’t leave Arsenal. If he does leave as the rumours reported a while back then its not a bad move. I still remember the folk on here last season desperate for us to get Onana. Pretty decent GK but, has a mistake in him. 

the only GKer I recall 'desperate for' was Oblak

I personally never rated Onana is one of my top wants

I generally do not like Ajax players, I think most now fail on the big stage

Gravenberch is the only one I rate

I was not in favour of Ziyech, Nicolás Tagliafico, Neres, Dolberg, nor van de Beek

Hes a good player but he hasn’t really looked anything other than very very ordinary this season. Has got 5 goals this season and 1 assist, which isnt the worst but isnt great either.

He has played much better in previous seasons but I think if Wolves are that desperate to let him go for as little as 35M that also tells a story. I wouldn’t say he’s done anything significant to have outgrown Wolves.

Suppose if he has a good Euros it may add to his pricr.

I think if Arsenal had valued the player highly enough, and convinced him of that, then they'd have got him. If they did want him at all that is.

The only way Villa beat Arsenal to a player if Arsenal weren't competing or the player does not believe he would get minutes with the Gunners.
