Barcelona is a team where every defender looks amazing because you don't really have to defend. 15M for a decent defender seems bit expensive but in the right range. Wonder if Arsenal will buy a replacement or go with what they have.When they were at their best, that's why Pique was so overrated before.But now, everyone in their defense looks bad.. and they get fucked on the counter by any random team. City's defence last season was far from stellar also even though statistics makes it look better than it actually is.One thing i have learned in recent times is offense wins you the premier league title rather than defence. Our failure to win the league last season is further proof that a devastating attack is highly important in title challenge. Your defence has to be absolutely terrible (bottom of the league or pub team terrible to truly matter in the end if you have the best attack/offense in the league)tell that to arsenal or pool. city's defence was pretty good in the 2nd half of the season. city conceded 16 goals in their last 20 matches keeping 10 clean sheets and THAT was the time they won the league. not when they were conceding 3 goals to cardiff and villa at the start of the season. a proper defence is as important as a devastating attack (maybe even more). and we are proof of that. dzeko, negredo and aguero scored 42 PL goals in them compared to 19 goals from etoo, ba and torrid (less than half) and still it was barely a difference of 4 points. what a team needs is balance in attack and defence. city had that last season while we dint. our attack was very 1D against the lower teams and we had a hard time breaking them. i expect that to change this season. robsblubot, Muzchap and The Skipper 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
