I'm on record as having said I don't believe he will succeed Aguero when the Argentine leaves. I think City will be looking for a better alternative. 31 goals, 12 assists in his last 3600 minutes of play. 55 and 22 in his last roughly 6800 (basically a full season and a half to 2/3rds) Not quite to Aguero numbers (68 and 19 in his last 6800 minutes) But still not shabby. And he is only 22. Aguero was not scoring like that at 22.

Great teams sell great players at some point too. Gabriel Jesus has got huge potential, hes only 22 and has scored 55 goals for City in 120 games where he has been in and out of the team. Not bad for someone who had never played in Europe prior to that move. Also has 18 goals in 39 games for Brazil. Very good strikerate at international level. He just needs to play every week, hes shown he is capable at City but Aguero is Aguero and Pep rarely plays 2 CFs so he can get 3 men in MF. Yeah I suppose so but they were hardly in the same bracket/calibre of Jesus. Cesc and especially Maka were top drawer. Think Jesus has still to reach that level personally

OhforAGreavsie looks at mainly his first touch, passing, shooting, close control etc and you look at mainly his record like you look at companies' balance sheet or income statement. I don't mean that you don't care about the player's technique or he doesn't care about goal records it just something I noticed when you two talk about players. killer1257

Vesper 30,185
Manchester City, Real Madrid 'make Marquinhos contact' By Matt Law, European Football Editor | 13m https://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/man-city/transfer-talk/news/man-city-real-madrid-make-marquinhos-contact_383607.html Manchester City and Real Madrid have both reportedly contacted the representatives of Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Marquinhos to discuss a potential move. The 25-year-old has made 268 appearances for PSG in all competitions since arriving from Roma in 2013, winning five Ligue 1 titles during his time in the French capital. According to Le10Sport, Les Parisiens are keen for the Brazil international to sign a new contract at the club but talks over an extension have stalled. The report claims that the news has attracted the attention of both City and Madrid, who have been in contact with Marquinhos's agent to learn more about the situation. The South American, who has mainly been used as a central midfielder this season, has contributed one goal in 22 appearances at club level during the 2019-20 campaign. Marquinhos will see his current deal at the Parc des Princes expire in June 2022. snip
