HNKS 508
Both Lampard and Mikel have talked to the media about not playing and how it frustrates them. I hope they dont influence the others too much or else we could see another Scolari incident whereby he loses the respect of players. LDN Blue 7,903
I share your worries - To an extent.I think Lampard was severely misquoted, because he did say he understood why he was being left out. Typical Daily Fail reporting with him. I personally don't really mind that they're being left out, it's the fact we have no-one to replace them. If we did, and they made a difference, enabling us to win most games, no-one would flick an eyelid.Mikel's been replaced with Romeu. Lampard hasn't.. Yet. Fulham Broadway 17,365
Honestly -Lampards reaction to being a sub was ''course I want to play. its natural''.....translated into Journo speak -becomes '' lampards revolt at not playing, he wants to leave SW6''
CHOULO19 24,332
I agree that Lampards word were twisted immensely. I am not worried as long as AVB has the backing of the board.
Henrique 9,133
Mikel saying he is frustraded...even awful players thinks they should playing every game when they are in a club that players have só much power.
zolayes 14,489
ALL players have power ,,,Bosman saw to that. The better the player and the less time left on their contract the greater the power.

Naked Mole Rat 437
Lampard will get used to it, and Mikel will probably leave soon anyway. But I don't think the players have the same respect they had for Mourinho or Ancelotti for AVB. But the good thing is that he probably doesn't live in a fantasy where players automatically revere and follow him, so I'm not particularly worried that the players will outright disrespect him. He's got a lot to prove, though.
Thor 2,745
Was I the only one that did a little jig when I saw Mikel was unhappy? I know he's been great for us over the championship years but... go on son, put in that transfer appeal.
Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
^ RIGHT THERE WITH YOU THOR!! I was so happy with the fact mikel was upset unfortunately he won't make any enemies with avb for he stated avb's philosophy "the club is winning so I am happy". But hopefully it grows with every passing game cause we need space to fill his role with a far superior dm!!

BlueLion. 21,491
Couldn't care less what they supposedly say, all Lampard has said is he wishes he plays more but respects the manager for giving players equal time on the pitch. That hardly suggests discontent to me.
HNKS 508
Well it looks like Malouda has now joined the list of players moaning about playing. He can just go fuck himself.

LDN Blue 7,903
January's going to be very difficult for us if we fail to replace Malouda, Kalou, Anelka & Alex.Considering how hard that is, in the Jan market, we're going to have to keep hold of Malouda & Kalou.. As much as it pains me to say.

Realistically if we do land anyone after Cahill & Krasic (should those even go through), I'd be very surprised.

Let's hope we're as quiet & discreet as we were when we signed Romeu & Mata!
