Jack Cork Believes Iron Can Survive

Recommended Posts

Young defender Jack Cork insists Scunthorpe are back on track in their fight to avoid an instant return back down to League One.

The Iron have taken four points from their last two matches nd the teenager Cork, on loan from Chelsea, revealed his team-mates have regained their lost confidence.

Cork told the club's official website: "We've got a new mentality from the last two games.

"When we were on a bit of a losing streak we were a bit down - but now we want it more.

"Since the last two games we have started to play really well and I am pleased with how everything is going."

Scunthorpe have closed to within two points of fourth-bottom Preston after a 1-0 win over Charlton and Saturday's 0-0 draw at Sheffield United, where they played with 10 men for 80 minutes after Grant McCann's dismissal.
