But nevertheless, I wish them well in their careers, except if they by accident go to one of our rivals.

manpe 10,861
Farewells are sentimental moments. I though I was supposed to say things that I didn't really mean! Haha Yeah... Well I can say this: Anelka is probably the best striker/winger/playmaker/anchor man/goalkeeper all in one ever to step on the pitch of SB. And Alex will be remembered as... the most good looking baldie.

warnie_666 1,081
That Freekick against Liverpool in Champions League. What a moment.....Going to miss those Free Kicks...
LDN Blue 7,903
Anelka should become a coach when he's finished, his finishing has always been clinical & accurate. Could teach some kids a thing or 2 about it
Laylabelle 9,539
Aww just remember Alex's free kick against Rosenburg? The guy randomly cart wheeling out of the way....Both have had a good impact..didnt expect Analka to do so well to be honest though he'd play a couple of games then sulk and all...but proved wrong and done well... Kojo 4,676
two of my favourite players, great tribute. Alex was worth the money and so was Anelka, they both did well and scored in times of need, Anelka equalised this season against West Brom, which was a vital goal. I wish the best of luck for both of them.
Wilson 358
You can diss Anelka all you want but when we struggled in Champions League, he was there scoring the goals for us! He's also been with us longer than he's being with any club. As for Alex, scored screamers of free kicks for fun and always stayed solid. If and when they do depart, good luck to both of them. Legends in their own right.
Superblue 6,372
Yeah it's important to remember that Anelka carried our front line through both the Scolari era and numerous Champs League group stages that Drogba was suspended for. I actually feel at the moment he is the best fit to play central striker alongside Sturridge and Mata because he is still explosive and clinical. I agree with the other comments regarding his attitude being first class and he has always spoken of the club in high regard.Alex IMO has always been underrated, particularly in the media who have never considered him a first choice at Chelsea. He was first choice throughout Hiddink and Ancelotti's reigns and deserved to be. His free kick will always go down as one of my favourite Chelsea goals ever!I can see us trying to get around £7m for Alex and using it on Cahill. If we can get him for the same money we have made selling Alex I will be happy with that.I wish both every success in their football careers beyond Chelsea.
