Rambo 1,729
I would strongly advise AVB to use the same line up vs. Valencia ..the way we played today would benefit Torres more..also replace Lamps with Raul.

TacticalBlues 2,817
Players really stepped up. Energy single one vindicated their selection and subsequent introductions. Well Done AVB. LOL Mata and Drogba height comparison.

HRiver 1,512
When I came home and saw that we were winning 0-1 I couldn't believe my eyes, when we scored another 2 I was shocked. But what a great victory, this is exactly what we needed to turn things around! :cfc:
ulsterchelsea 3,221
Well done chels. Good display today and a clean sheet too. This place should be a lot happier today anyway. If we win on tuesday now (which I think we will) then we go into citeh with a completely different mood in the camp. I've always believed this league is tight and a decent run of games will have us right in the mix again. Keep the faith
chrismada9 1,948
This is exactly what we needed!! A confidence-boosting win against a side who had never lost at home all season... and a clean sheet at St. James' Park really does look hot under our collar... I've got a good feeling for the Valencia game now! I reckon we can whack 2 goals past them easy and get through to the knockout stages, and then we'll be uber fired up for the Man City game! Cosmin 2,484
It's been a while since we saw that. And I'm not talking about a win, or a clean sheet. I'm talking about that spirit, just like xPetrCechx said before. I can't remember feeling so enthusiastic watching Chelsea since when John Terry scored goal against Aston Villa last season. KTBFFH! We Hate Scouse 10,326
Is it just me or was Drogba absolutely terrible? I know he scored and what not, but he was invisible most the game.
Kojo 4,676
I missed the first 12 minutes of the game, Luiz should of been sent off. But you know what, Newcastle have been lucky all season, and our luck has been the oppesite, it's about time we actually got something. Another sending off would of totally killed us off, i'm happy with the win. Sturridge played well, but his finishing was very poor, everyone was getting nervous infront of Krul, the amount of chances we could of scored, if finishing was clinical we could of been talking 6 or 7 nill here, but what do you expect with an out of form team, hopefully this match should turn it around. manpe 10,861
We were really lucky tbh. Luiz should have been off, Lampard didn't convert his penalty, Luiz and Drogba nearly had own goals (both struck the woodwork), the JT goal-line clearance, the Ameobi shot at the bar... But then we went on a rampage And all the bad/lucky things won't matter. It was simply our day, FINALLY! And it wasn't some pissy Wolves, it was Newcastle, a team above us in the table. And I'm really glad Kalou got a chance. Both Malouda and Anelka have been underperforming, so I agreed with the members who said that Kalou deserved a chance now. And he did really well too, I don't think he made a bad pass.. He actually put Sturridge through, could have had an assist in addition to his good goal (not a tap in btw). Well done lad And today we saw why Drogba is so good even at 33... He doesn't have pace anymore, but his strength, link-up play, hold-up play and everything else is still there. His header was classic Didier. The whole attacking 3 was good today and it showed in the scoreline.
Tomo 21,751
That is why Liverpool or Spurs won't finish above us. We win these type of games a lot more often than they do. At worst we will finish 3rd or 4th if Arsenal go on a lucky streak.

francozola 2,040
Wonderful performance. They hit the post twice but take nothing away from our performance. Newcastle away is one of the most difficult places to go and we went in there and attacked brilliantly, defended okay in the 1st half superbly in the 2ndOf course there are going to be times where they are putting us under pressure but we dealt with most of their attacks really well. JT was just marvelous.Good decision by AVB to take of Lamps. Woeful performance by him. Romeu, well done! 2nd half you could see he was struggling a bit but still really good displayDrogs did okay too. He misplaced a lot of passes in the 2nd half which was frustrating but you could see that he was absolutely knackered.Mata - sublime! Absolutely sublime.Danny what a monster!!!!And I am also happy for Kalou lol
